Lackluster Birthday Experience at Aramsa Spa My recent birthday celebration at Aramsa spa, intended to be a memorable experience, unfortunately culminated in disappointment despite a significant expenditure nearing $400. I had hoped to relive the wonderful encounter I had there two years ago but left feeling disheartened. Upon our arrival, there was a surprising absence of personal acknowledgment or greeting at the entrance. Despite prior communication about the birthday surprise, none of the service staff extended a welcoming gesture or acknowledged our arrival, and we were the only ones there. Many were just sitting behind the counter and doing their own stuffs, Nobody smiled or had any eye contact. This absence of a warm reception felt starkly at odds with the anticipated hospitality of a top-tier luxury spa. After verifying my ID, a staff member nonchalantly inquired if I was familiar with using their lockers, leaving me feeling uncertain about managing things independently. Hoping for guidance, I admitted to not recalling the process, wishing for assistance in familiarizing myself with the facility. Throughout the visit, I felt a distinct lack of personal attention. The waiting area lacked the customary hospitality characteristic of luxury spas, offering self-service amenities like pre-packaged oats biscuits and tea, a departure from the welcoming atmosphere I had experienced previously. Strangely, there was no inquiry about the specific treatment I was booked for, prompting me to question whether my expectations for basic service were too high. Despite positive online reviews that inspired me to give Aramsa another chance, the experience fell short of expectations. I had anticipated surprise birthday decorations, as mentioned in some reviews, but encountered a lack of personalized care. During the treatment session, the masseuse seemed preoccupied, multitasking while attending to me. When I asked about my surprise treatment, she abruptly left me soaking my feet, retrieved birthday decorations, and swiftly arranged them. She then offered to take photos for my husband, I declined the photo, but she insisted, encouraging me to take it to send to my husband, and swiftly wrapped up the setup. I felt really awkward, and everything was insincere, more like an afterthought. Comparing this visit to my prior one, the level of personal care and engagement was noticeably different. The previous masseuse engaged with me, massaged my feet while conversing, creating a relaxing atmosphere that made me appreciate being there. Although the massage was acceptable, the room's condition was disappointing, exhibiting wear and emitting a musty smell in the shower area. Neither was there any aroma scent to help with relaxation. To my dismay, I was left with 3 mosquito bites. After the massage, I was advised to have ginger tea, which I expected to find prepared in the waiting area afterward. Instead, it was self-service again in the waiting room. There was no check-in regarding the massage experience there, and we left without acknowledgment. Seeing the masseuse rearranging products at the main entrance left me torn between laughter and tears. The overall service scored a disappointing 1/10, falling below the expected luxury spa standards. While the massage received a 6/10 rating, the condition of the amenities warranted a mere 3/10. The subsequent 30% price increase only exacerbated the dissatisfaction, especially considering the decline in service and amenities. The absence of such attention to detail was particularly disheartening, especially for a special occasion, where we trusted Aramsa for a memorable experience. I earnestly hope Aramsa Spa reevaluates its customer service approach, and reach out. Hoping that they would reinstate the high standards that once defined it, ensuring each guest receives the exceptional experience expected from a top luxury spa. My review 2 years ago: Oh love the entire experience! Jane was really experienced and the everything was just right! Would love to come back again! Visited on Weekend... (Show more)
10/10 service and experience! Eileen, Sally and Carissa were hospitable and they took great care of us, asking for our preferences and making sure we were comfortable.
Fion and Pat are both very friendly♥️ They are welcoming, gentle and conscientious in their massage. Coupled with the serene environment and cosy ambience, the 2 hour couple massage was a soothing and refreshing experience, especially being a first timer and celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary😊🫰Thank you, and we'll be back! …
Saly is a really good masseuse. She knows where all the tension is at and she also knows when to use light or medium pressure. I have went to a lot of massage parlours however, this one by far is really good. The customer service is also really great, they answered all my questions and queries. After the massage, Saly brought me to a lounge to drink ginger tea and have some biscuits. Despite it raining, the people at Aramsa offered an umbrella without having to return it back. Will definitely come back again for another massage from Saly! Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes... (Show more)
