Have just been to see Des and I can highly recommend him. On time, very efficient and you can watch TV while he is working on you. Yeh ππ β¦
Have been seeing Des on and off over the past few years. All my children attend this Dental Surgery. Highly recommend and highly appreciate all the staff at the surgery.
I had a really positive experience here after a visit to another dentist left me in pain and needing a root canal (after what should have just been a normal filling). I was super stressed about getting the root canal done and put it off for months but it ended up being completely painless. Would definitely recommend!
I had a bad toothache and they were able to see me the same day. The staff and dentist were very caring.
I used to highly recommend this dentist, my wife and several other family and friends went here after my recommendation. I was a loyal and happy customer. Unfortunately not any longer. Unfortunately I do not recommend this dentist. There are better dentists in the area. It seems like the care and understanding is no longer there. Perhaps due to a change in dentists and management style. Although I cannot say if this is the reason. My situation is that I went here for a routine checkup and for a simple filling. X-rays were taken. Everything was fine. Then several days later I was getting a lot of pain. I tried calling for several days, and left several messages but no one got back to me. During business hours, I often received the message "Sorry, our office is currently closed. Please call back between the hours of ..." - It was during that time. I finally got in touch with the receptionist and I went back for a checkup. Several days later I experienced further pain, and after again trying for several days to reach someone, and several unreturned messages, I gave up and booked in to see a dentist at Wynnum. Wynyard St Dental called the day before my appointment to confirm that I would be coming in. I told them no and why. The receptionist said okay and that was that. As a loyal customer, I wanted to be open and honest. I eventually managed to get in touch with Des to provide some feedback. I explained that I had been a loyal customer for many years, and that I was forced to go elsewhere due to not being able to reach anyone. Des explained he had been away on holidays and would look into why no one was answering the phone during business hours or returning messages. Prior to the appointment at the Wynnum dentist, both myself and the dentist at Wynnum tried to reach Wynyard St Dental to obtain the x-rays so that I didn't have to have further x-rays and incur more cost. To date, and after many attempts, we have not been able to obtain the x-rays. Nevertheless, I have been to the dentist at Wynnum and am super happy. I called Des after my appointment with the Wynnum dentist to explain my disappointment that no one assisted in providing the x-rays. Des responded that he only found out this morning that we have been chasing them for weeks now. Des also explained that the x-rays are the property of Wynyard St Dental and he has no obligation to provide them. In my opinion, the interests of the patience should always come first. Perhaps Des not only needs to chat to his reception staff about answering the phones and returning calls, but also in assisting patients and other dental practices more promptly. Either Des knew about our requests several weeks ago, or the receptionist didn't pass on the request. In my opinion, Des was abrupt and uncaring on the phone. To conclude, I do not recommend Wynyard Street Dental at all. There are many great dentists in the area; ask your friends and family who they recommend before visiting Wynyard St Dental.... I called due to a bad toothache and the staff were really caring and friendly, dr Desmond treated my tooth and it was the most painless dental visit I have ever had, I couldn't even feel the needle. Would definitely go back again and reccomend them to anyone looking for painless dentistry
If you are looking for excellent dental services for your family, this is the best clinic to go to! Dr Bowyer provides outstanding dental services, he is simply amazing. We have been coming to this practice for the last three years, even though we moved 2 years ago and now it takes us almost an hour to get there. All Staff members are making you feeling welcome in this clinic, which is a great feeling!... (Show more)
We LOVE our dentist! Not many people say that. ;) Not good to recommend your dentist as the busier they are the less chance you have to get in, but seriously, great service for the past 4 years. Huge Thanks for great service!!
I had been a client of this dental surgery for many years and when I had a sore tooth I called this morning to make an appointment with Diane and was told that the earliest available appointment was not until January 2015. I explained that I was a long term client and I had a sore tooth and could not wait until next year to have it looked at and asked if they could check if Diane could not squeeze me in or if I could make an earlier appointment with another dentist. The receptionist put me on hold for ten minutes before hanging up on me. So much for showing a bit of loyalty or compassion for a long term client with a sore tooth - I am extremely disappointed and would never return there again.... (Show more)
