Principal Dentist, GDC 104556 Verena’s story starts like this: She knew at 7 years already what she wanted to become: ” Zahnaerztin” which is German for dentist. Wearing braces herself at that age raised her interest in dentistry.Since then she made her first dream come true, step by step. In the year 2000 she graduated with the approbation for dentistry at Albert Ludwigs University Freiburg; one of the most respected Universities in Germany and Europe. Verena went on to gain more experience at several dental practices and at the same time became more interested in holistic dentistry. In 2005 she achieved the Diploma in Chinese ear and body acupuncture at the European Academy for Ear acupuncture, Dr Bahr. Two years later Verena gained the certificate in dental Hypnosis in Glasgow at the British Society of Medical and Dental Hypnosis. In general Verena is passionate about her profession and loves creating new smile concepts for the anxious and nervous patient. As she loves her profession she naturally travels around the world to exchange knowledge and broaden her horizons in her field.

The is the best dental practice ive been to, given i had a phobia of dentists for a long time, Alex and his team managed to take that phobia away. Alex is a lovely and gentle man, he always makes me feel comfortable and welcome, recently i visited for my routine check up and i now have phobia patient off my record! Always friendly atmosphere within the surgery and one of the only dentists I know that takes time and care. Always a 5 star service.
Great dentist. I’d recommend to anyone that’s nervous. I used to be terrified of the dentist but it’s all changed since coming to Old Machar Dentist.
This is a brilliant dentist. I went to have my mercury fillings removed, it was done in a safe and pain free way. The dentist did a lovely job of making the filling look like my teeth u would never know I had got any fillings. The are very nice, kind and compassionate. I would totally recommend this dentist....
