I was reviewing many dental clinics in Costa Rica and it seemed to take a lot of my time. There were so many clinics and it wasn't easy to call and figure out how to make a decision or which one was best. Some didn't speak english, some didn't return my emails or calls. There are 40+ dental clinics in Costa Rica that all claim to be the "best". This guide helped me find a really great accredited dental clinic with English-speaking dentists. I heard that Costa Rica was a great place for dental implants, but I had no idea how to find the right dental clinic for my specific case. I wish I could give this dental guide more than five stars. I was really only expecting to get help with finding a maxillofacial surgeon in Costa Rica. But Dr. Jake reviewed my x-rays and showed me some other concerns that my dentist at home had totally missed. I first emailed Costa Rica Dental Guide about 11 months ago, and thought I was emailing a dental clinic.  It's not. It's a guide that helps patients find dentists in Costa Rica.  Dr. Robert from the guide got back to me within 10 minutes and I was on the phone with him 15 minutes later.  I told him about my problems (tooth damage from smoking) and sent some photos. He gave me quotes from 3 different dentists in Costa Rica. I chose Confidental located in San Jose.  LOVED THEM.  I got a full mouth reconstruction over two visits.  It's 3 months later and everything is still looking and feeling good.  I knew I wanted to get my teeth fixed in either Mexico or Costa Rica, but didn't know where or how to start.  I decided that Costa Rica was probably the safer location. My first search turned up 6,000 dentists in Costa Rica. My problem was that I didn't know enough about dental care to find the best dentist.  My biggest concerns were,safety, price and timing. The CR Dental Guide directory was good, but in the end I ended up asking for a referral...much easier. Dr. Robert narrowed the search to three clinics and made it much easier for me to choose. We talked so much before my trip that I think I was becoming annoying.  Sorry. My experience with the doctor at Costa Rica Dental guide was fantastic. My email was answered quickly and all the details were covered when I asked about my smile makeover. I had seen photos and just wasn't sure if it was the right procedure for me – and I was a little nervous about traveling for a procedure like this. But, Dr. Jake went over all the details of my treatment plan, pricing for the veneers and even made recommendations for a hotel. I elected to have all my work done in Escazu and treated myself to a stay at the Intercontinental Hotel. When I booked the hotel, I also booked an awesome massage package, too...complete with wine and cheese! Needless to say, I left after a week and a half – relaxed and smiling from ear to ear.
