I have attended several PT s and I cannot emphasise how pleased I am with Simon at Active Rehab at the Mater Private . For both rehabilitative and active pain management therapies Simon has provided client centred , evidence based care . I will be forever grateful for the therapy I received .

Practice Principal APA Sports Physiotherapist B.Phty, B.Sc.(Hons) Practice Principal of Active Rehabilitation Physiotherapy. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) from the University of Queensland in 1979 and a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in April 1983. Following post graduate studies in Sports Physiotherapy, he was awarded the title of APA Sports Physiotherapist in 1999. Orthopaedic and sports rehabilitation have always been John’s passion, and he has had extensive physiotherapy experience with sporting teams. He was physiotherapist to the Brisbane Broncos from 1989 to 1996 and to the Brisbane Bullets and the Queensland State of Origin Teams in the early 1990’s. He has been physiotherapist to the Queensland Academy of Sport Netball Squad and many Queensland State Age and Open Netball Teams since 1996. From 2006 to 2009, John was the team physiotherapist to the Queensland Firebirds Netball Team.

Business Manager B Phty.(Hons), Grad Dip(Bus Mgmnt), APAM Originally graduating from the University of South Australia, Siona completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours and was named on the Dean’s Merit List, for academic excellence. Since graduating, Siona has had wide experience throughout both hospital and physiotherapy private practice settings. Initially working in Flinders Hospital in South Australia, she has worked in areas ranging from Intensive Care right through to Pain Management Clinics. Siona has a particular interest in neurosurgical and orthopaedic rehabilitation and has enjoyed her roles in sports physiotherapy including rugby union, cycling and netball organisations. Siona joined the Active Rehabilitation Physiotherapy in 2008. Clinically, she is one of our Senior Outpatient Physiotherapists, with a special interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Siona is also our Senior Physiotherapist in the Mars Clinic for Children’s Continence. The Mars Clinic was established, in partnership with Specialist Paediatric Urologists, to meet a significant community need for services for children’s continence.
