Tennis Elbow is a common overuse injury causing inflammation of the lateral epicondyle, the bony prominence on the outside of the elbow. It often occurs due to repeated and sustained twisting motions or straightening of the wrist against resistance. Pain is felt mainly where the tendons attach to the bone, and can radiate down the forearm. Rest, ice, compression, and elevation are initial treatments, followed by physical therapy exercises to improve strength and flexibility.
