Pulpotomy
A pulpotomy is a dental procedure that involves removing infected or decayed pulp tissue from within a tooth's chamber while keeping the nerve tissue intact. This helps save the tooth and restore its functionality. The procedure starts by numbing the affected area with a local anesthetic. Then, the dentist removes the decayed part of the tooth and cleans the infected pulp. After that, the remaining healthy pulp is treated with a medicated dressing to promote healing. Finally, the tooth is sealed with a filling or a crown to protect it from further damage.
