Dr. Cameron Craven is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He completed a 6 year integrated residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Baylor is recognized as one of the top 15 medical schools in the United States. Affiliated hospitals where he received his training include The Methodist Hospital, St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, Hermann Hospital, Ben Taub General Hospital, Texas Orthopedic Hospital, Shriner’s Burn Hospital, the nations largest Veteran’s Administration Hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center (the nation’s leading cancer center), and Texas Children’s Hospital (the nation’s largest children’s hospital). During his training, he gained extensive experience in all aspects of plastic surgery including cosmetic surgery, hand and microvascular surgery, reconstructive surgery, burns, trauma, and surgery for congenital abnormalities. Dr. Craven grew up in the Austin area and attended the University of Texas at Austin. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in only 3 years and received the College of Natural Sciences Distinguished Graduate Award. He was also inducted into the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honor society while at UT. Dr. Craven went on to complete his medical training at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, one of the oldest medical schools in the country, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He finished in the top 4 of his class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Craven has received numerous awards and honors for academic achievement and has given presentations at local and national meetings regarding his research projects and scientific publications. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Travis County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association and the Michael E. DeBakey International Surgical Society. Dr. Craven serves as an investigator for the Mentor Post-Approval Study for Silicone Gel Breast Implants. Dr. Craven specializes in the full spectrum of cosmetic surgery including breast augmentation, liposuction and body contouring, facial rejuvenation, laser surgery, eyelid surgery, and rhinoplasty, as well as reconstructive surgery for skin cancers. Dr. Craven and the staff at Westlake Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery pride themselves on providing safe, state of the art care for their patients in a comfortable and caring environment. Received his undergraduate degree in biology at Southern Methodist University, where he graduated with honors and was inducted in to Phi Beta Kappa. He completed medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. After an internship in General Surgery, he received his Dermatology specialty training at Tulane University Health Sciences Center, where he was appointed chief resident in Dermatology. Developed an interest in clinical research in the field of Dermatology. With a special concentration in cosmetic surgery, he has co-authored several scientific articles and book chapters on liposuction, chemical peeling, and dermal wrinkle fillers. Furthermore, he has been a co-investigator of FDA clinical trials on anti-wrinkle injectibles and dermal wrinkle fillers.

Dr Melinda Conroy

Attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University where she was selected as a member of Psi Sigma Alpha and the National Deans List. She graduated in the top five percent of her class, then completed three years of internal medicine at Lehigh Valley Hospital where she also served on the Ethics and Grievance Committees. Dr. Conroy completed her residency at Aria Health-Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania where she served as Chief Resident of Dermatology. Has been involved in scientific and clinical research and has presented findings at the annual meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Osteopathic Academy of Dermatology. She enjoys a mix of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
