I have always wanted to go to Seoul, and for a long time have known of Korea’s best in class methods when it comes to plastic surgery, beauty treatments and skincare regimens. Thus, when I turned 50-yrs-old, I decided to do extensive research for a practice that could execute the best face lift someone my age could get. After all, we only have one face. And, that’s how I came to find VLif. Here is a breakdown of what VLif does that makes coming to Korea for plastic surgery so special for non-Koreans: 1) Global ambassadors (Bella & Sae) fluent in English who take you to and from all the different processes and procedures surrounding pre and post surgery. They virtually never leave your side. And are immediately available via text to answer any questions 2) An extensive consultation with Dr. Youn insofar as to why your face does what it does as we get older, troubleshooting the areas that I felt were problematic and, finally administering an action plan to fix said areas. By the way, Dr. Youn grew up in Europe and his English is flawless 3) Medications were picked up from the pharmacy by staff, black taxis ordered and waiting for you outside with every visit 4) Hair shampooing, removal of ampules by a surgeon, de-swelling IV treatments, Infrared treatments, ozone therapy, facial brightening treatment and even a salmon injection to promote collagen and a youthful looking face, while most of these treatments are included in the initial cost, its worth it to add-on the extras as the healing time is significantly reduced 5) And finally, I must say something about cost. In Los Angeles, a face and neck lift by a well known plastic surgeon is on average 80K. A mini-lift is 55K. My two week stay at a 4-star hotel (Intercontinental Coex with a massive mall connected to the hotel), flight, room service during healing days, and even some shopping has cost me a total of around 16K. In effect, I received a surgery by a well known plastic surgeon and a vacation, spending a fraction of the cost had I done this in LA. One last note: I’ve seen so many women walking around Seoul with bandages on their faces (including me) that I can safely say no one here cares about what you look like. I had a facelift and forehead, upper and lower eyelid lifts 3 weeks ago and returned to LA 2 weeks after surgery. Some of my friends have had good results from Dr. Sim at VLIF. That's why I came to VLIF. However, I was very anxious before the surgery, swelling came down a lot and looked ok but the swelling continued until I came to LA two weeks after the surgery, so I was worried that everything would get better as Dr. Sim said. Now, three weeks later, it's exactly what he said. It's amazing how different things are every day I asked director Sabina Lee many questions before and after the surgery. Even though she explained it in detail, I still had a lot of doubts, so I asked again and again. but I am grateful for the answer and now I feel sorry. I bothered her too much. I am so satisfied now that I often hear people around me say that I am good-looking and look young. But people didn't realize I had surgery. It looks that natural. After an exhaustive search for a plastic surgeon with expertise in deep place facelift I decided to schedule an initial consultation with Dr Shim from VLIF Plastic surgery. After the initial consultation I knew I had found the right plastic surgeon. My deep plane facelift done by Dr Shim exceeded my expectations. From the initial consultation to post surgery follow-ups, Dr Shim and his coordinators displayed genuine care by being welcoming, friendly, respectful, and professional. I had done countless research in so many clinics and reviews looking for one that I could trust and I could say from the first consultation with Bella, her kindness and professionalism as well as the confidence that I saw from doctor Lee in the consultation, made me put up my decision to let myself in the hands of the amazing Vlif clinic team. They took care of me in every aspect from the way of explaining every detail as many times needed making sure I was reassured, following up the days after the surgery checking I was ok every moment, providing the medicines and more. Regardless of this, I am impressed with the results, the scars aren’t visible and the way I look is very very natural just as I wanted (none of my friends or family has notice they just say I look pretty!) it hasn’t been a month and the swelling is almost gone, (It was super fast thanks to their after care treatments, you could see a mayor difference after each). I initially began my journey with V. Lif through email inquiring about a revision facelift. I had a smas facelift a year earlier and unfortunately was not satisfied with the outcome. V. Lif responded to my email very promptly and provided me with all the information. I wasn’t quite ready to book an appointment at that time but Bella, who I was corresponding with, was very pleasant and not pushy at all, which I really appreciated. A few months later I was ready to proceed with an in person consultation. I contacted Bella again and she happily scheduled an appointment for me. I drove up to Seoul the day of my consultation and was happy to find that there was parking available for the building. Upon entering the clinic, I was greeted as soon as entered the doors. Everyone was so nice and the clinic was very clean and beautiful. I waited only a few minutes then was greeted by Bella who escorted me to a consultation room where I met with Dr. Shim. He was very nice and answered all my questions. I even went it requesting other procedures other than the facelift but was told that he did not recommend them for me. Again, I was very pleased to see they were not trying to tack on unnecessary procedures and gave me his honest opinion. I went to a handful of consultations and V.Lif was by far the best. I still wasn’t quite sure if I wanted to proceed and needed some time to think. Again, Bella was very understanding and did not try to sway me into the surgery. I ultimately did chose V.Lif and had my surgery one and half weeks ago. Everyone was wonderful at the clinic. Surgery day was a breeze and I felt well taken care of through the whole procedure. Bella even helped me book a nearby hotel room before the surgery so I was able to return to the hotel right after. I also met with Sea, another translator, the day of the surgery and she was by my side the entire time. She told me everything that was being said and taking place so I never felt frightened. Dr. Shim was amazing as well and made me feel confident that he had my best interest at hand. After the surgery after I had recovered, I was asked if they could call me a cab back to my hotel. I actually felt great and declined and was able to walk back to my hotel. I have felt great since the moment I walked out the door. I haven’t had any pain and have only had swelling and some minor bruising. I’ve been back to the clinic a few times now for a few check ups. The bandage was removed on day 3 and the stitches came out a week after surgery. Every time I’ve been in the clinic for a check up, everyone has been phenomenal. I’ve been given red light therapy, deswelling treatments and a hyperbaric chamber treatment. I’ve asked a million questions, and Bella and Sea have been great in answering them all. I am not even two weeks post op so far but can already see a difference in my face. I can’t wait to see what the end results and how much time is erased from my face. To summarize: I had a great experience and recommend V.Lif and Dr. Shim. I recently underwent a comprehensive facial rejuvenation procedure at V.LIF Plastic Surgery. I discovered V.Lif while searching specifically for a plastic surgeon in Korea. I was very interested in a Korean plastic surgeon because I think they are cutting edge and have fine, artistic stitching. After messaging with a few different offices I decided on Dr. Shim, he specializes in faces. The Procedure At V.LIF, I opted for a combination of treatments: Deep-Plane Facelift Platysma Plication Sub brow Lift Lower Blepharoplasty Lipo on face and neck Prior to surgery: I was connected to Bella via WhatsApp. She was able to answer questions and get me scheduled for surgery. The clinic asked for bloodwork testing prior to surgery as well as typical health history. She went over pricing and there were no hidden costs. I did add a procedure once I saw the surgeon in person. When I arrived, I was met by Sae and later joined by Bella. They went over the legal forms and never made me feel hurried if I wanted to read over something. They collected my payment and I met with Dr. Shim. He was kind and gentle as he was looking over my face. I did not want the forehead reduction or brow lift and did not feel pressure to get those. I did want upper bleph but he said no and suggested a delicate sub-brow lift. I am so glad we went that route! I was then photographed and escorted into the surgical room. It is obvious the team does this day in and day out. They were all buzzing about getting me prepped and Sae stayed with me until I was knocked out. I woke up slowly but was able to walk and had zero pain! I slept with no problem or discomfort. Results and Recovery: Note, they do not prescribe narcotics for pain, but I was never in any pain so nothing that strong was ever needed. 2 days post op I returned to the office for drain removal, shampoo service, red light therapy, photos and de-swelling treatment. The drain removal was done by Dr. Shim and his nurse. It was painless. Day 5 Hyperbaric chamber session. I felt good enough to go to the Coex mall and the Bongeunsa Temple (Free admission), played tourist! 6 days post op was another de-swelling treatment, and red-light therapy. 7 days post op was the last of the de-swelling treatments, photos, red light therapy, and stitch removal. This process was painless! After the appointment I took a taxi straight to the airport! I am currently 1.5 weeks post-op, and the see changes already. The healing process has been smooth, and I’m eagerly awaiting the outcome. I have had swelling and bruising but no pain. I also have not experienced swollen or painful ears that some people report having after a deep plane face lift. Dr. Shim did such a beautiful job with his stitching! Exactly what I was hoping for. Communication and Language Barriers: While the results have been fantastic, I must acknowledge that communication could have been smoother. Dealing with time zones and language differences is expected when seeking medical care abroad. However, the staff at V.LIF were friendly and accommodating, which eased my concerns. There were no red flags and the facilities are clean and of western standards. Not only was V.Lif great, I enjoyed being in Korea! The culture and people are fantastic. Plastic surgery is so common there that I did not feel strange walking around, especially in Gangnam where there are so many plastic surgery centers. I embraced my experience! Final Thoughts In summary, V.LIF Plastic Surgery is a top practice for facial plastic surgery. If you’re brave, seeking budget friendly with the highest quality facial surgery, travel-savvy, and seeking transformative results, consider V.LIF. Satisfied! Very professional clinic. Flew from the u.s to them! I had laser done on my face that melted the real fat.. they did a face lift with fat transfer. Best decision I made going to them hands down 🙌 I read nothing but good reviews about them on purse forum. The whole experience was 10/10 …

I just had my initial consultation with the physician and his team and I'm really happy with my decision to come here. The entire staff at VLIF were so generous with answering my questions. I've never had a facelift before and was concerned. The consulting physician was very transparent about potential outcomes, side effects, etc. The offices were warm, clean, and seemed to have the newest equipment. This was my first experience traveling to Korea from the United States for cosmetic surgery. I did a lot of research online and decided on the V.life clinic and I can now say that was by far the best decision. I couldn't be happier with my results! The consultations with 'Yura' who spoke perfect English, we're intense. They vetted every medication, supplement, and all my hormones to make sure they could instruct me on what to stop taking prior, and after the surgery. Their thoroughness gave me peace of mind and helped me make the decision . Having a translator at all of my visits and actually in the operating room prior to surgery was important to me. And Yura was the best! Not only was she there to greet me for very pre-op and post-op visit but she called my SIM card provider when my phone stopped working! Over the top service I'd say! My surgeon, Dr. Shim was exactly who I imagined he would be...kind, considerate of all my concerns and an excellent surgeon!!! Three days post op...I looked amazing and could have gone back to work in person if I had to!. Dr.Shim performed multiple procedures (in a 6-hour surgery) for my mom and I at the end of March, 2023. We discovered V.Lif while searching for a board certified plastic surgeon in Seoul. Check out their Instagram profile (V.Lif_plasticsurgery_global) to see their before and after pictures of patients, there's plenty of pictures to give you an idea how natural the results are.. And exactly what we were looking for: a team of surgeons and medical staff who specializes in lifting procedures / anti-aging (facelift, necklift, forehead lift, fat transfer, etc). While we are still recovering and swollen, we are pretty excited and happy with the results so far (especially the snatched jaw line and neck).. and we are super anxious to see the final results in a few months.
