Vision Express Dublin - Blanchardstown

Staff so rude. I have been going to this shop since my daughter was 12 she is now 21 and her glasses needed to be repaired. French girl was nice to talk to until a rude staff member butted in and said she's french and took over talking so rudly and insisting she get new glasses instead of fixing thing them. Other staff I have dealt with over the years were lovely but think ur staff need customer training and how to deal with customers and for speaking to staff member in that manner is very unprofessional think twice of going back in there. 12th Feb 2024. Despite waiting an hour after my scheduled appointment time I am happy to give a 4* review My eyes were examined by an extremely professional and competent Optometrist named Cliona who I would strongly recommend I was then attended to by a fantastic customer services staff member named Caitriona who assisted with selection of Spectacles & Lenses I would Happily give Vision Express a 5* rating for their professionalism & Value for money if their appointment/ Q'ing process was properly organised... Went in to get replacement nose pads. They took the opportunity to tighten up frame and gave me a new case. Very quick, friendly and no fuss. Very good service.

Great experience for me and kids. Professional optometrists. Doesn't push to sell you you things. Lenses and glasses of good quality, and often have nice offers. Highly recommend!

Such rude customer service, I called asking questions about my glasses , where are they and why is it taking so long to arrive the new lenses, the lady was ignoring my questions, answering like a robot the same response and leaving me on the phone talking to myself before hanging up. I had my first visit (paid for) for contacts and specs prescription. On the same they they gave me an appointment to try on my contacts that needed to be ordered. I had to cancel that appointment and booked another one after I received the message saying my specs were ready as they originally told me I would have had to try the contactz on for a while before leaving… so I took time off from work and went for my appointment. Got there and it comes out my trial contacts were never ordered… another optometrist goes and checks my prescription again (to note, 2 hours of unpaid leave burned like this) in absence of the trial contacts, they gave me contacts that were not my actual prescriptions. At least the specs were ready… I then tried to call again, and they were all surprised I didn’t get their call where they told me the contacts were ready… they were communicating via sms up to now… I then ask on the phone if they could send my contacts to a shop closer to me and told me that they cannot do that and that I could have picked up my contacts only from Blanch (stating clearly that they would not have checked the fit when giving me the lenses…) and done the after care visit in any shop I wished to go to. I couldn’t go back until today since I need to take taxis to get there unless someone can drive me there and I work 26km far from there!!! As I suspected, they didn’t have the trial contacts at all. No bother to call me to tell me they gave them to someone else or that they were never ordered at a point in time, I spent around 100€ coming and going from this shop (plus a LOT for my specs). I really do not recommend anyone to deal with this people as they don’t have a clue about customer retention: they’re nice and kind up until you spend money but then they just treat you like an idiot. I bought a pair of glasses about a year ago in your store the were €189 and one side broke off so I brought them back today only to be told to go and glue it this is disgraceful

I’ve never felt so welcomed and comfortable when going to an eye test before, from the front desk people greeting us to the optician room and leaving. Particularly, Eimear who consistently understands my situation, makes me feel welcomed and cared for. She helped me get onto my contacts for the first time and I can tell that her clients feel comfortable around her just the way she handles my bookings. She’s very professional, knows what I want and offers alternative solutions and information that is required for my day to day contacts. She is the best and that’s why I will stand by the Blanchardstown branch.... (Show more)

Horrible service. I went there for an eye test and had to wait over 1.5 hours for a pre-booked appointment! The staff member who took me in for the first set of tests was really unfriendly and rude. When I asked about getting my prescription in my own glasses, there's apparently a surcharge of €70 on top of lenses if you don't buy glasses from them. This is absolutely ridiculous as I never had to pay this with other opticians I have been to in Dublin in the past. I wanted to try vision express this time and really wish I didn't. I had a contacts appointment booked in as well and I have been wearing contacts for over 7 years, but they won't let you buy contacts till the time you have an "after-care appointment with them" which costs additional €30. I went in yesterday and the girl assisting me was very friendly and asked if I wanted my prescription to be printed (as I had already had the eye test done 3 days back) and I said yes. However, another woman came and said they can't even print my prescription for glasses if I don't pay for the contacts after-care? If I have had my eye test done, I should be able to get my prescription which she refused to give. Honestly, steer away. Don't recommend at all. Disappointed. Waste of time, money and energy. I don't even trust the prescription they gave me as it didn't feel genuine. I'll go to another optician now to get my eyes rechecked.... (Show more)

Terrible absolutely terrible, will never set foot inside vision express ever again, brought my ray ban frames I bought in New York in to get prescription in and they broke dem so I had to order another set of frames which they paid for and wait another week and a half den I brought the frames into dem and they put prescription in and when they cleaned second pair they took the paint off them so I had to order another set of ray ban frames which they paid for again and wait another week and half to get them , eventually I got them sorted , it was a disgrace and no compensation r nothing for all the hassle and time off work I had to take , very very poor customer service, never again... Horrible service, I came in 30 mins ealier than my schedule, they onky have like 1 customer and like 3-4 staff are just standing. They say I need to go back atleast 5 mins before my sched. Then I cane back a bit late like 5 mins late, 5 after 5, and they just told me to comeback for resched since Iam already late. They do not have any customer at that time they all just standing doing nothing. Idrove like 45 mins from drogheda to Blanch and just wasted my PTO over this.... (Show more)

Great place, everyone is so helpful and accommodating. Emer, was so kind, helpful and extremely knowledgeable, can't say enough good things about this lady. Her co workers too are all so helpful. Thank you Emer, Jade & Catriona for making a daunting task so easy, especially Emer!

After purchasing glasses here several times I switched to Specsavers. I’m only sorry I didn’t do it sooner. I kept getting the same optician who dismissed what I was saying. What did I know. I’m not an optician. Finally I have a pair of glasses that are perfect and that I don’t keep taking off because they are ‘annoying my eyes’. My two stars are for the floor staff who were always very helpful.... (Show more)
