The gym floor is hugh with a lot of equipments and very spacious so it smells fresh all the time. The changing room is also very big. The sauna room is bigger than the one in Canary Wharf. All in all, very happy with it

the gym itself is nice and typically not too crowded, but the music in the locker rooms is god awful

Really enjoyed my visit to the Bank branch. A young lady named Danielle at reception greeted me with a lovely smile and was very accommodating and patient. We need more people like this!

I’ve visited a few branches of Virgin Active and the one in Bank is definitely my favourite one and that’s partly because of the lovely receptionist Danielle. She is genuinely kind, always helpful and fast when I need something. Very professional, sweet and friendly.

I love this club, by far my favourite virgin active club. The staff are fantastic, so friendly! Especially Danielle! She’s goes above and beyond. Definitely makes time to speak to me and definitely encourages me to workout.

Very noisy. Yoga is next to fitness area.

Much better service compared to other clubs. Good selection of classes and equipments

Regrettably, after 15 years as a Virgin Active customer, I had to leave today and terminate my membership. It’s not the regular locker break-ins and thefts from the changing rooms that have forced me away; sadly, it’s the lack of gym etiquette by the PT staff and management, pushing long-term paying members out of spaces and off equipment at short notice to accommodate classes. Every gym I’ve ever known has operated on a first-come-first-served basis for all their open spaces, assisted machines and free-weights. This was not the case today and I was moved off the gym floor in favour of those taking part in a circuit session. Had I been in a studio, I could have understood, but I wasn’t and this type of treatment is unacceptable. The star is for the cleaning team who work tirelessly to keep the gym clean, but sadly this is not a place I would recommend people go to work out.... (Show more)

Quite a big space but lacks some basic equipment and feels quite dated. The free weights area is hot and stuffy - other areas feel more pleasent. Also if you fancy a coffee before the workout - there are no cups for the coffee machine and just one chair in the "chillout area". On the good side, there is a Pret across the road. In response to VA, the Broadgate club is truly spectacular and heads above the Bank branch, but unfortunately it's closing down in a month.... (Show more)

Hello Anton, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. So sorry this was your experience. We do have cups for the coffee machine. If you don't see any during your visit, please speak to FOH, who will be able to provide some support. At Broadgate we have a spacious Lounge by the coffee machine, with a TV and plenty of seating, including chairs to relax on and back benches for working. Please let us know if there's anything else we can support with. UPDATE: Sadly, we can confirm our Broadgate site is closing at the end of July. Please do let us know if you've any questions.

Response from the owner2 years ago

I had registered to sign up with the price of £75 per month using Vitality. My company took a few weeks to get me my Vitality number, when returning I was told the membership had increased to £90. Natalie was dismissive and rude when I asked if they would honour the price I was previously quoted.

Colin Kazim - 2 years ago - Review Provided by Google Maps

Hello Colin, thank you for taking the time to share a review. We are sorry to hear you had a disappointing experience. We are only able to offer the current price at the time of taking out the membership. £75 was a very limited introductory offer to support the Club's reopening. If there is anything else we can support with, please reach out to us on 020 7717 9000 or info@virginactive.co.uk.

Nice gym, clean, friendly personnel with a decent amount of training equipment. However, bear in mind, this is a basement level gym, with no natural light. The swimming pool is rather small I’d say and a bit shallow… Love the Pilates classes though, which need booking well in advance, otherwise you don’t get a chance! Given the price, I’d expect a bit more than what’s it’s currently providing.... (Show more)

Hello Elisabeth, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry you feel you would expect more from the club. Could you kindly contact us on 020 7717 9000 to discuss more? It is a 1.2m pool but we do have a 1.3m pool at our Moorgate club, the nearest club to Bank with a pool.
