Mr Chris Barker
After I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2006, I have treated patients with a wide variety of conditions in the NHS and private practice. Acquiring a wealth of knowledge and expertise including joint manipulation / mobilisation, neural mobilisation, movement dysfunction, motor control training and pain management skills. All of which I utilise in my role as a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist in Atherapy.
Mr David Cracknell
I left university with the moto to 'do different' with my BSc in Physiotherapy. My chapter 1: Pre university was spending 5 years as a fit pro and doing some thinking. Chapter 2: Physiotherapy all around the country soaking up knowledge, developing skills, working with a few pioneering people and doing some more thinking. Chapter 3: Atherapy - my platform and opportunity to really 'do different’.
Ms Danielle Dornan
I graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2010 with a first class BSc in Physiotherapy.
The gym floor is hugh with a lot of equipments and very spacious so it smells fresh all the time. The changing room is also very big. The sauna room is bigger than the one in Canary Wharf. All in all, very happy with it
the gym itself is nice and typically not too crowded, but the music in the locker rooms is god awful
No place where to train in this gym... Lifting weights is basically impossible. Very very disappointed
i came here on a guest pass and danielle was really kind and helpful
The club is nice and clean and the staff are friendly. Danielle on reception was also very lovely
Always a pleasure to visit this branch.Friendly and helpful staff ,club is always clean and be sure to receive an email regarding any issues or closure of any of their facilities.
Really enjoyed my visit to the Bank branch. A young lady named Danielle at reception greeted me with a lovely smile and was very accommodating and patient. We need more people like this!
I’ve visited a few branches of Virgin Active and the one in Bank is definitely my favourite one and that’s partly because of the lovely receptionist Danielle. She is genuinely kind, always helpful and fast when I need something. Very professional, sweet and friendly.
Good conveniently located gym with friendly staff. Shout out to Danielle who is always so pleasant and helpful.
I love this club, by far my favourite virgin active club. The staff are fantastic, so friendly! Especially Danielle! She’s goes above and beyond. Definitely makes time to speak to me and definitely encourages me to workout.
Very noisy. Yoga is next to fitness area.
Much better service compared to other clubs. Good selection of classes and equipments
Regrettably, after 15 years as a Virgin Active customer, I had to leave today and terminate my membership. It’s not the regular locker break-ins and thefts from the changing rooms that have forced me away; sadly, it’s the lack of gym etiquette by the PT staff and management, pushing long-term paying members out of spaces and off equipment at short notice to accommodate classes. Every gym I’ve ever known has operated on a first-come-first-served basis for all their open spaces, assisted machines and free-weights. This was not the case today and I was moved off the gym floor in favour of those taking part in a circuit session. Had I been in a studio, I could have understood, but I wasn’t and this type of treatment is unacceptable. The star is for the cleaning team who work tirelessly to keep the gym clean, but sadly this is not a place I would recommend people go to work out.... (Show more)
Quite a big space but lacks some basic equipment and feels quite dated. The free weights area is hot and stuffy - other areas feel more pleasent. Also if you fancy a coffee before the workout - there are no cups for the coffee machine and just one chair in the "chillout area". On the good side, there is a Pret across the road. In response to VA, the Broadgate club is truly spectacular and heads above the Bank branch, but unfortunately it's closing down in a month.... (Show more)
Rude PT. Remind your team of basic etiquette please.
Great experience so far - equipment in good condition, lots of space and friendly staff
Nice gym with friendly staff, the pool was too cramped for my liking!
I find the team here very rude and inefficient
I had registered to sign up with the price of £75 per month using Vitality. My company took a few weeks to get me my Vitality number, when returning I was told the membership had increased to £90. Natalie was dismissive and rude when I asked if they would honour the price I was previously quoted.
Nice gym, clean, friendly personnel with a decent amount of training equipment. However, bear in mind, this is a basement level gym, with no natural light. The swimming pool is rather small I’d say and a bit shallow… Love the Pilates classes though, which need booking well in advance, otherwise you don’t get a chance! Given the price, I’d expect a bit more than what’s it’s currently providing.... (Show more)
