Let me take a few moments to appreciate the amazing doctor who did his best to treat my dad properly. Honestly, i cant explain my gratefulness in words, but i try my best to express my gratitude to you. Ever since we found out my dad’s PSA higher every time we checked, at that time i was so hopeless ( i have never experienced this before in my entire life), but after talking to you and all the courage you have given to me, it gave me back all the hope (it’s not only me but the whole family too). Being in the hospital isnt a good thing at all, but when we have a doctor like you, it makes us a little bit okay. At that time I never thought that my dad will be okay within this short time period, but here it is! I dont think his process could be that faster without a doctor like you. Sadly, last year I had been diagnosed with Kidney Cancer 😭 I just want to express my deep appreciation for everything Dr Tan Teck Wei done to support me through my healing and recovery after my surgery. Was very lucky to have Dr Tan treat my sudden kidney stones. He was very patient and responsive throughout the entire process and even during recovery when I had sudden pain during the night, he guided me through it. Highly recommend!

Dr Tan Teck Wei was called upon to treat my wife by her Oncologist recently when my wife’s colorectal cancer spread to her bladder. And I am extremely grateful that Dr Tan was chosen when he did some procedures on my wife which. promptly relieved her from her ordeal and quickly stabilised her condition. In recent months, we have been fortunate enough to have Dr. Tan Teck Wei as our urologist, caring for my father who has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. We were seeking someone proficient in performing a transperineal biopsy for my father, given our understanding that it is the best option. Not only is Dr. Tan skilled in this area, but he is also acknowledged as one of the pioneers of this procedure in Singapore. The biopsy was conducted with the utmost care and precision, and the procedure went as smoothly as we could have hoped. Beyond his remarkable technical skills, Dr. Tan's professional demeanour is accompanied by a profound sense of compassion. He exudes a warmth that has made this challenging journey much more manageable. His excellent communication skills and ability to provide clear, balanced views have been incredibly helpful in aiding our understanding of my father's condition and treatment plan. Completed my vasectomy with Dr. Tan. The very personal procedure was well coordinated by his whole team, and the operation under GA was completed comfortably. The direct follow-ups via Whatsapp gave me a lot of peace of mind in case of any complications, but 2 weeks post surgery everything has healed up really well with no significant levels of discomfort!... Initially, in Sep 2020, I only went to Dr Tan Teck Wei for a 2nd opinion on my prostrate cancer diagnosis. He explained the situation clearly and responded to my questions with precise and balanced answers. In addition, he was able to share real-life patient experiences to help me understand better what to expect. I realised he had a lot of experience in this field and knew his stuff thoroughly. His steady professionalism gave me a lot of confidence and hope. He was also patient, willing to entertain all my questions, and kind. Immediately, I decided to switch from my previous specialist, who was a senior doctor, to Dr Tan. Dr Tan performed a robotic prostatectomy on me. It was done so well that after one night in hospital I was able to be discharged and to go home by taxi myself as I did not want to inconvenience my family members. I was amazed at the lack of side effects for such a major surgery and my wife even commented: “you went into hospital and came out as if nothing happened”. Till today the operation remains a success. At my six-monthly check up, my PSA reading is undetectable which indicates the cancer was completely eradicated by Dr Tan’s surgery. Dr Tan also managed to preserve other bodily functions which are commonly affected by such an operation. I should mention how Dr Tan was recommended to me. My friend who was an anaesthetist working in the same hospital as Dr Tan observed various surgeons at work in the operating theatre. It's a Blessing to having Dr. Tan Teck Wei., as our Urology Specialist. A kidney stone in the right causes extreme pain (scale 9/10)., on the night of 25/6.,at 2a.m. A&E.admitted to Mt. Alvenia Hosp. I.V.drips painkillers provided some reliefs. Dr. Tan was informed & by 3.45am (he was already at the ward). 7.30am he was again by my side arranging my operations & procedures. His hearted responses, Professional ethics, advises, explainations & close daily follow ups, Pleasantly surprised me & Family's. Even a "new" shock waves therapy machine, he & his team gave me the confidence & choice. Believe me he is the few & only Doctor whom truly cares about his patient's conditions. I have an eventful discharge from hospital bcos the extreme pain plays up when I am back on home leaves. Dr. Tan answers me & wifey urgencies almost immediately. 1week into surgery & Pain is gone, stress is now totally relief. Even confidence floods back seeing him for reviews. The daily multiple follow-ups asking about my conditions, says so much about Dr. Tan & his Professionalism. Up till this moment, he & his staffs are held in high regards from my Family's. Came to this clinic for a checkup and had to do a scope for the first time, which made me feel a little nervous as I wasn’t sure what to expect. As I was going through the consultations and procedure, I felt very reassured by the friendliest counter staff/nurses, as well as Dr Tan of course, who followed up the day after my procedure to make sure that everything was okay. I was having a medical emergency and was not aware of it despite being thoroughly checked at NUH’s Accident & Emergency Department where I had initially reported. Thanks to Dr. Tan who called me up within half an hour of completion of the CT scan that he suggested. He advised a procedure in view of my health condition that needed immediate attention. The procedure was soon completed successfully, and a follow up procedure was also completed within one month of the first visit. I have recovered fully in large measure due to Dr. Tan’s quick assessment of my condition and to this day, I dread to think what would have happened had I waited for two weeks for an appointment with the NUH Urologist, which was not rescheduled to an earlier date despite my repeated pleas.
