I grew up with the same dentist who looked after me for 48 years. Unfortunately, due to ill health, he had to retire. I have to say I am a big softy when it comes to visiting the dentist, it is a fear I just cant overcome. after trying several dentist, I couldn't find one that offered the same level of care and professionalism that my old dentist gave me. Then I came across Towngate Dental Practice. I cant speak highly enough about this place. From the moment you enter, the friendly staff are so welcoming and that alone puts you at ease. Then the dentist themselves are so professional in every aspect and almost make a big softies experience very pleasurable. Review specifically for a Root Canal treatment with Will & Bethany. (Private Paitent) I was, really, not looking forward to the dentist, especially given the horror stories I've heard about root canal treatment. But I attended nonetheless, mainly because my partner and my Mum said I had to! To my surprise, Will and Bethany were able to complete my treatment with such effectiveness that, I was, in the space of only a few hours, back at work delivering a 2 hour, oral, presentation, with not much more than a dull ache. Will is clearly a very skilled pair of hands and I consider him to be a highly knowledgeable Dentist, accompanied by the very attentive, and compassionate, Bethany they make a fantastic team. I got recommended Towngate Dental Practice through a friend as she told me it was absolutely the best place to be seen for cosmetic work. From the day I walked in to the day I finished the treatment from everyone that works at this dental practice was brilliant. Had to book an emergency appointment recently due to severe pain and i really wish I had booked in sooner. All the staff were amazing, kind, reassuring and professional. They could see how much pain I was in and managed to squeeze an extraction in for me which was seamless, painless and so quick. I have been a patient at this practice since being a child and I now travel from Oxford for check-ups and treatment and would not want to be treated anywhere else. I recently had my first ever filling done by Dr Ben Trill who was fantastic. The equipment and technology that they use for procedures is amazing. A truly amazing team! I’ve been a patient for years and since Dr Taylor took over the practice it’s beautiful and state of the art. The team have gone from strength to strength, they are warm and welcoming from the moment you step through the door. I’ve wanted to get my teeth straightened for so long and after researching many different dentists and methods, I was always drawn back to Dr Taylor. She is fantastic; so calm and caring and her work is brilliant maybe even borderline magic (their instagram is proof). Dr Taylor and Jessica explained the treatment process and answered all my daft questions in person and by email. I have recently joined Towngate Dental as my partner started going to get her braces. She always said how lovely they were and how she felt more than just a number. I decided to join myself and I am so happy I did. It is honestly such a professional clinic. The rooms, equipment everything seems to be state of the art and you are made to feel so comfortable and looked after. From the reception greeting to the consult you are taken care of every step of the way. I’ve been to see Dr Trill and Dental Nurse Hannah for my initial consult and they were fabulous. I have been a patient here since I was born - nearly 30 years and while there has been a lot of changes in the last few years (namely the introduction and emphasis on the aesthetics of teeth) I feel the practice is still heading in the right direction. I was extremely anxious - even just for a checkup but now I feel a bit better every time I go I’ve been having problems with my wisdom tooth for a while and every time I’ve rung up I’ve been given an appointment either same day or next day. I rang up in tears today out of anxiety and the lady on the phone was comforting and got me an appointment with my own dentist within 24 hours to discuss the problem further. Every time I go in the ladies on reception ask me about my day and even remember who I am, what I do, where I’ve been on holiday, even if I’ve not been in for 9 months! Mandy the hygienist understands my anxiety and didn’t do anything I wasn’t comfortable with and gradually introduced me to more thorough cleanings which I actually enjoyed! I still have a long way to go with my dentist anxiety especially with a looming wisdom tooth problem but I am confident I’ll get good advice and reassurance from the practice... (Show more)

I have recently had the extraction of a very large tooth by Faye, who explained everything very clearly before the procedure, which was completely pain-free. Excellent service everytime. Easy to deal with. Everyone is very Professional and friendly. The only dentist I've ever been to that I'm not apprehensive before I go in!
