Dr Tan is an excellent skin specialist. I had undergone laser hair removal sessions under him with very good results. The clinic staff is also courteous and welcoming. Overall a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend Dr Tan to anyone with problems of facial hair or any other skin issues.

The doctor is excellent. 1 star is for clinic staff. Staff didn't manage expectations of patients' waiting time. Found out accidentally after 30 minutes of waiting that the waiting time is more than an hour. Staff had no intention of letting us know that at time of registration. When asked why I wasn't informed of the long waiting time, a staff member retorted that it's normal waiting time. This shows the clinic poor management of time and terrible front desk attitude. This is so much worse than public healthcare and you have to pay much more than public healthcare. Will not visit again no matter how good the doctors are.... (Show more)

I had severe acne in the past and had seen 4 doctors but no cure. Fortunately, I stumbled across this clinic and thankfully, doctor tan cured my acne completely. He, too, does not upsell any packages too & only provides you what he thinks is best for your skin. The nurses here, especially Alicia, are also very friendly & helpful! Dr Tan is simply an amazing doctor. He patiently listens to what you need to say and really look into your skin condition and provides best treatment. One of the best doctors I have came across so far. And thank you to the nurse team who is always welcoming during calls for last minute appointment and will try to squeeze you in. My 1st visit to Thomson Dermatology Clinic. Dr Tan Hiok Hee was professional and service oriented. He took my medical history and did a physical examination. Prescribed medication with detailed patient education as to how I could take care of my skin condition. The words with a reassuring tone, it is a reversible condition and will take about 4 weeks to get better was comforting to me after two years of battling with skin problem with the frequent use of hand rub and washing . Really patient staff, been going for awhile, the doctor is also nice and will help you with your skin issues. Medications were rlly good and they properly keep track of what you are given. Highly recommend!

Dr Tan was very good, direct diagnosis, no hesitation, competent and personable. -1 star because as always with clinics, arrived on time but had to wait 40 minutes. Time management could be better. Good dermatologist, worst front counter staff/ nurse ever. I didn’t want to leave a review at first as I know everyone have their good and bad days and it’s not easy to work at the front counter. But the couldn’t-be-bothered and it’s-you-and-the-doc-prob attitude upset me to a great extent almost on every visit. When we called up to have dates of previous treatment for insurance claim purposes. The one who picked up the call told us to retrieve ourselves as it’s very tedious for Dr Tan to do so. As the clinic assistant/ nurse, is it not a simple task for you to perform or within your job scope? When we called and asked about whether certain meds will cause side effects etc, they straight up laugh and say don’t think so. But googling online and checking with the doc later on prove otherwise. The staff always ask us to clarify with the doc cos ‘they do not know what the doc told us in the consult room’. I am puzzled by this answer as I am also a healthcare worker. The least they could do is to say please let me check and get back to you. I don’t even get this kind of service in the very busy Govt hospitals. The staff are usually more interested in chatting behind the counter. As a paying patient, I am very disappointed in this service and it makes me not want to come back to the clinic even though the doctor is good. And they definitely spoil pple’s day early in the morning. I want to say the doctors are awesome in their treatment and the price paid is worth it. Probably need some staff -training on providing service and basic manners. It’s ok if you have no passion for the job but it reflects badly if you have no manners.... (Show more)
