I’ve used this clinic a few times now. However, sadly I’m not going back. The lady who did our scan rushed through the appointment soooo badly, I think we were in there for less than 5 minutes. They need to realise that even if they have many scans a day, for the patients it’s an unique experience. They DON’T know that and treated us like we were buying potatoes… The clinic is clean and the receptionist was extremely nice but the scan itself was very much disappointing!! So I’ll go somewhere else next time.... (Show more)
I hade an appointment at 10:00 today. Apparently the lady who supposed to be there it sick and my appointment was cancelled without any notice. 😡 Much appreciated. …
My first time using the clinic for a pelvic ultrasound. Really impressed with efficiency of booking process after having emailed clinic over the weekend. Deborah the sonographer who conducted the scan was friendly, polite and professional. As promised the clinic sent my results on the same day to my doctor. The fee charged was very well priced - in fact 75% lower than Spire who I’d contacted initially. Really impressed thank you and I will return for this routine scan going forward.... (Show more)
After a terrible start to the pregnancy we wanted an early scan to make sure baby was ok. Sonographer was abrupt, disinterested and couldn’t get us out quick enough. Then I saw her a few days later in NHS clinic and my heart sunk. Ruined two scans for me. Not worth the money at all
I went for an emergency scan to get reassurance, as otherwise I had to wait three days with NHS. I was booked in within an hour of calling, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience, Deborah was very professional, has carefully checked to identify a potential issue and has provided advice on how to address it further. We also could see our happy baby and got a 3D image of her perfect little face, what a treat!... (Show more)
My experience at Verulam clinic was very positive. The staff are very professional and very supportive. Especially big thank you to a lovely Sonographer Victoria Chow, who supports me through the all process of my IVF until my first pregnancy scan at the 7 weeks, she was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this clinic to others. Their prices are very reasonable and equipment are very good .I just have done the same early pregnancy abdominal scan in the NHS hospital and they could not see anything yet but here in Verulam clinic they could see my baby's heart bit and provide me with the first photo.... Not family friendly. Most modern service providers these days will send reminders of your appointment in advance. Banks do that. Even NHS clinics do that these days. Not this clinic. We were distracted by our 4yo and unfortunately missed the appointment. They called us 10 minutes after our appointment slot to tell us that our deposit was gone. We were return customers, mind you. Not friendly, not understanding of the needs of already-parents having a second child. Will not be returning or recommending to anyone. We were planning on doing an additional 30-weeks scan but certainly won't be doing it here anymore. Remember, customers are your ambassadors.... (Show more)
We attended this clinic for an early scan, just gone six weeks into my pregnancy. The receptionist was nice, but the lady who performed the scan really disappointed us. Because I was so early, I had to have an internal scan and so I do know that the stiller you can keep your body, the better the picture. But when she turned the screen around to show me, for the first time, my babies little heartbeat I had 2 seconds of the most incredible feeling. Overcome with emotion, I started to cry to which the lady immediately and curtly said “stop crying. You need to keep still. Stop crying now”. I was so taken aback and felt so upset, it ruined a moment I’ll never be able to get back. She was so clinical and it felt like she had done a million scans and couldn’t care less who her next client was. It felt cold, clinic and non-personal - she had bad bedside manner which is disappointing given you pay for that privilege. I was so disappointed and because of this would not recommend this clinic. Having said this, they did do our scan and gave us a photo, so that’s what I’m focusing on now.... (Show more)
We went for an early scan at 8 weeks like we did with our daughter. They were so professional on the phone and on the day, we were treated wonderfully. The sonographer explained in detail what we were seeing and checked my ovaries as well. A very friendly and warm clinic, I would strongly recommend!... (Show more)
We went to the Verulam clinic on a Friday evening for a scan. We were 11 weeks 6days. We felt very rushed by the sonographer (not sure if it was because it was coming to the end of the working day) She quickly showed us the arms, legs and a flickering heartbeat. She did not offer to let us hear the heartbeat. The sonographer kept telling me that my bladder was not full enough (even though I was desperate for a wee!). I was not offered to wait in the waiting room until it was full. The whole appointment felt very rushed and not worth the money we paid. Thankfully all seemed good with the baby but I would not recommend this clinic.... (Show more)
We went for an early scan and left feeling very anxious after the comments from the sonographer. I know they have to tell you the risks but it was the way this was done, we both left feeling deflated. Fortunately a repeat scan elsewhere two weeks later showed everything to be ok. Maybe this was a one off but it wasn’t a good experience for us.... (Show more)
Wonderful and professional staff, no where else compares.
Deborah performed our 7 week scan . The whole experience was fast, highly professional and friendly. We left with a handful of wonderful images of our tiny baby. When we saw and heard its heart beat we were absolutely over the moon. Couldn't recommend verulam clinic enough !
