About Swanland Physiotherapy Clinic Ltd Swanland Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic opened in in 1993, run by husband and wife John and Bridget King. Our modern purpose built clinic offers a professional and confidential environment with off road parking and disabled access. We treat injury and disease by correcting and improving the body's own natural healing mechanism. A thorough assessment of each problem will be undertaken, together with an analysis of work, rest and recreational activities. The Clinic offers a range of traditional hands on treatments including mobilisation, soft tissue massage, exercise and education regarding the prevention and management of acute, chronic and recurrent conditions. We work on a one to one basis and all information is confidential. We use techniques that include McKenzie, Mulligan or Pilates based approaches. We also use a range of sophisticated equipment including; Ultrasound Pulsed Short Wave Diathermy Laser TENS These are used to help with pain management and promotion of healing. CONDITIONS TREATED INCLUDE SPINAL PROBLEMS - including prolapsed discs,degeneration,sciatica,spondylosis,stiff/painful neck and referred arm and leg pain. AFTER SURGERY Rehabilitation after orthopaedic surgery e.g. hip and knee replacements or physiotherapy after general surgery. FRACTURES Treatment to gain full function once the bones have healed. SPORTS INJURY Strains,sprains, and bruising to soft tissue from a very wide range of sports. INJURIES To muscles,ligaments,cartilage and tendon problems and to work related conditions such as repetitive strain injury.
