Suzanne qualified with a Diploma in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Certificate in Clinical Medicine from Lansdowne College of Acupuncture and Complimentary Medicine in 2002. She is a member of the Acupuncture Council of Ireland and regularly undertakes additional training. I went to see Stephen after suffering with the flu for five weeks. I absolutely hate needles, but was desperate for a solution! Stephen was patient, understanding and very generous with his time. Although I still don’t fully understand how acupuncture works, I’m certain it has helped me recover and get the energies flowing again. I was suffering from back pain before christmas from old injuries it was painful to walk. I went to stephen to see could he help i have never had such relief from this pain in the last few years i have never had accupuncture before and am not fond of needles he made me feel so much at ease after a few sessions the pain had gone and i am able to go back even weight training i will be returning after christmas for some more follow up treatment. He has done more for me then any chiropractor has done before i would highly recommend him to anyone out there who is suffering with pain. I have been going to Stephen for a back injury and have really noticed improvement. I had never tried acupuncture before and felt relief after a few sessions. Would highly recommend Stephen. My daughter (age 12) suffers terribly with migraines and anxiety. I had had her at various consultants and others for around four years. In 2022 I decided to give acupuncture a try for her and having looked around and spoken to a few practitioners, I decided to go with Universal Acupuncture. I’m so happy that I decided to go that route, the difference it has made to her life is huge. She’s gone from daily headaches, tummy aches and anxiety to only having to take a painkiller on a very rare occasion. Stephen worked out a treatment plan, that worked for us, he treated my daughter with so much respect and compassion and at all times made her feel at ease. She went from weekly treatments to only needing to go for a session if she feels she’s slipping back. I can not recommend Stephen and Universal Acupuncture more highly.... (Show more)
Went to Stephen last year for help with a bad back injury. I could barely walk or stand up straight and had some of the worst pain of my life. After one session with Stephen I could already feel some improvement and started attending a couple of times a week for several weeks before eventually overcoming the injury completely. Stephen is an absolute gentleman and puts his patients' recovery first. I would highly recommend giving Stephen a visit for sport injuries and the likes.... (Show more)
Had a terrible back problem and Stephen did fantastic work to get it right. I would highly recommend Universal Acupuncture for any pains that just won't go away.
I started working with Steve more than a year ago when I was struggling with a sudden onset of a rare blood disorder. Steve's work complemented the work of my medical team. Although my condition has been stable for many months now, I continue to see Steve for a regular 'top-up' as I have found that other minor issues, including my sleep patterns have improved with regular support. Stephen helped me with my neck and thoracic pain. Brilliant person. It’s good to have him in Clane specially for some one who is not able to drive. Excellent service and knowledge.

Words cannot begin to express my gratitude to Stephen of Universal Acupuncture. What originally started out as a trial as I did not believe it would benefit me, has turned out to be a weekly visit for ongoing pain and stress management. As a person who has a number of issues, ranging from osteoarthritis, sleep problems, relentless untamed mind, and perimenopause, I have found huge benefit in Stephen's approach as he seems to understand exactly what I need on any given day. Going between managing pain, where I have not been on pain medication since starting using his services, to managing and alleviating perimenopausal symptoms, such as sinus problems, and rebalancing my immune system. I sleep better, I am less stressed, in much less pain and significantly better able to calm my mind.
