Straight Teeth Direct - Lisbon

This is a GREAT dental team! I had been having an increasingly painful toothache that radiated pain throughout my right jaw. I was thinking root canal or worse, hoping to get home before I got the work done but I just could not wait, I could not sleep due to the pain being so bad. So I visited International Advanced Dentistry and they worked to find a time for me to get the dental work done. Dr. Joao and his team were professional and friendly. They have technology for photographing teeth conditions that I have not seen in my Washington DC dentist office yet. They used the tech to find out that it was not a serious problem, just a result of recent bruxism/teeth grinding at night. Dr. Joao polished my molar tooth (a bit more involved than it sounds) and took a few more tests and I was out the door with a couple prescriptions to reduce the swelling after just 45 minutes of work. 24 hours later the pain is almost all gone and there is just a little tenderness in the tooth/gum. I can highly recommend the services of IAD. I had a complex orthodontic issue during my master studies in Lisbon and IAD was recommended to me by a friend. Dr. Borges took all the time needed to treat me from the first appointment on. He was available for questions and support during the whole therapy and even beyond it.The therapy was coordinated by Dr. Borges but also included a physiotherapist. This review is for Dra. Berta and Diana. I came in with sensitivity in my front tooth and the dentist and her assistant explained everything to me very clearly and compassionately. They took the time to explain what they would be doing to help reduce the pain and they performed a very minimally invasive procedure to sure up my gums. I have nothing but great things to share regarding my experience. First, the ambience of the dentistry is beautiful. It doesn't feel like a clinic at all. You feel super relaxed and welcomed. Next, the staff are trilingual - speaking Portuguese, English, and I believe Spanish (if needed). My dentist and her assistant were super friendly, encouraging and supportive with my unique mouth situation. And the price is very reasonable and affordable. I was as a tourist in Lisbon when my bridge came loose. This was on a Thursday afternoon around 3 pm. I went to the dental practice, arrived around 4 pm, without reservation. I explained them what happened and if they could pls help me the same day or Friday as I was leaving on Saturday. Very friendly welcome, high quality equipment and a professional team of dentists. Luxurious ambience and high tech dentistry. The staff was very supportive and everything worked perfectly. The prices for the professional teeth cleaning and also the teeth whitening were not clarified beforehand. The doctor explained the whitening would cost 300 euros. The price then referred to only one jaw (who has it done only on one row of teeth???), so I paid 2x 300 Euros plus 100 for hygiene. Conclusion: It's cheaper in Zurich at Paradeplatz. The best dental practice I have ever been. I've gone for exams, cleanings, surgery and Invisalign. All specialists working there are very knowledgable, they use the newest equipment end technology. I am a patient of Dr. Agata, Dr. Elena, Dr. Rui and Dr. Andre. All those specialists worked wonders on my teeth. Dr Agata and Diane are the QUEENS of dentistry. I went to Dr Agata looking for a second opinion. Another clinic in Lisbon told me I needed TWELVE fillings, which made no sense to me. Agata gave me the most thorough examination I ever had. She explained, tooth by tooth, what she thought. In the end, she recommended a single filling! I had it done a few days later, and it's perfect. She also gave me a thorough clean and provided great consulting on potential cosmetic treatments I was interested in. I have been accompanied at this clinic since the beginning by Dr. Elena Cervino and Dr. André Chen and I couldn't be more satisfied. I had several treatments, including Invisalign. The results have always been excellent, and that's why I continue to go back now with my children.
