Smile.Up - Lumiar

Today I had an appointment for 4.30 pm but at 2.40 pm they called me asking me to go at 4 pm at Dr Teresa's request. Although it wasn't at all practical for me, I went to the Clinic where I arrived at 4pm. It was only at 4:15 pm that the Dr. was able to start the scaling... which only took 15 minutes! Evidently the Doctor managed to leave at 4:30 pm. In the years that I have done scaling with or without implants it has always taken between 45 and 60 minutes. 30 minutes would be acceptable as there are more implants but 15 minutes?? I found out what was or was not done as required: "Ultrasonic instruments are used to remove tartar residue. These powerful instruments emit high-pitched sounds and are typically used in combination with irrigation in the form of a cool mist, which also helps eliminate residue. Scalers and curettes are manual instruments used after ultrasonic instruments to remove remaining small residues of bacterial plaque between teeth. Once the plaque and tartar residue have been removed, the hygienist polishes the teeth using a small rotating brush. This polishing procedure is carried out with a slightly abrasive prophylactic paste with fluoride, which helps to remove stains and leave teeth smooth and shiny. Polishing with fluoride treatment not only makes teeth look cleaner, it also helps freshen your breath and prevent cavities." Well….there was no polishing. As for Dr. Gustavo, thank you a thousand times for your patience and care with my problem, which makes me very worried, but fortunately and thanks to the doctor's clarifications/professionalism, I leave here with hope.
