He is an expert in the field and shares the vision of creating beautiful, healthy smiles for his patients. He undertook his dental degree at the University of Otago (New Zealand), graduating with numerous awards for clinical and academic excellence and with a keenly developed immunity to the cold. From there, he ventured to Far North Queensland, to work as a dentist in the government service in Cairns and the remote areas of The Sunshine State. Much of his work there involved flying into remote communities with the Royal Flying Doctor Service to provide dental care.

He completed his degree in dentistry with honours at The University of Melbourne where he received numerous awards and scholarships during his dental training. Upon graduating he worked in both private practice and government clinics in Gippsland. Always one to contribute, he was an active committee member of the Dental Health Education Committee of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), Victoria Branch.
