Dr Martin O'Connor
Martin gained a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Liverpool University in 1982, and then achieved the Diploma in General Practice (DGDP (UK) from the Royal College of Surgeons. In 1995 he went on to gain a Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies (DPDS) specialising in Periodontology and the treatment of worn dentition. Martin is an active member of the British Dental Association (BDA) and the Association of Dental Implantology( ADI). Martin initially started his implant career on a one year course run by Cemal Ucer specializing in Implant Dentistry in Manchester that was completed in 1997. The course covered placing and restoring all the key Dental Implant Systems. Since then he has completed many implant courses and is currently studying for his MSc in Implantollogy at Warwick University. He is an Astra Clinical Coach, a mentor for Salford University involved in the mentoring of clinicians starting in Implants. Martin has been placing and restoring implants since 1998 and mainly works with the Astra implant system but has also placed and restored Frialit, Osteo-Ti systems and Straumann.
Dr Mark Glynn

He was a clinical assistant in orthodontics at Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge, has served on his local dental committee, is an active member of the British Dental Association (BDA) and the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI). Mark initially started his implant career in 1985 attending many courses and was involved in the first one year course run by Cemal Ucer, specialising in Implant Dentistry, in Manchester that was completed in 1995. The course covered placing and restoring all the key Dental Implant systems. Since then he has completed many advanced implant courses throughout Europe including Certificate in Implant Dentistry then Diploma in Implant Dentistry leading onto undertaking an MSc in Implantology at Warwick University. He is an Astra Mentor and Clinical Coach and mentor for Straumann ITI and for Salford University, this involves the mentoring of clinicians starting in Implantology up to those studying for an MSc. Mark has been placing and restoring implants since 1995 working mainly with the Astra and Straumann implant systems but has also placed and restored Frialit and Osteo-Ti systems.
Ms Claire Pilkinton
My name is Claire Pilkington, I qualified from Liverpool Dental Hospital in 1991 and joined Silverwell Dental Surgery in 1994. I am a member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy and I am dedicated in maintaining my continuing professional education. In 2001 I gained a Batchelor of Science degree with Honours in Psychology and biology, which took five and a half years of part time study to complete.
The staff and service at the Silverwell Street Street practice are second to none. Jacqueline and Lynne are exemplary in their approach and to dental care and health, they are friendly, put you at ease.
Professional from the receptionists to the amazing dentists and nurses. Had an implant to replace a single tooth which I had the pleasure of having Dr Sameh Ahmed and Jill carrying out the amazing work they both did. Dr Sameh Ahmed and Jill were professional and reassuring throughout the whole process and explained the procedure step by step. Absolute pleasure and a big thanks to you both. Highly highly recommend! I’ve had bad past experiences unfortunately and I’ve just had a tooth out and I’m so grateful for the treatment given, I didn’t feel a thing and it wasn’t traumatic at all! I couldn’t thank these two enough… honestly thank you so much, Awaz the dentist and Casey the nurse :)

A pleasant experience everytime... Was able to book an appointment over the phone extremely easily. Receptionists were extremely helpful and didn't have to wait long before I was seen by Dr Samira and her assistant Aaliyah. They were able to accommodate my circumstance as I was fasting and the filling was painless. Both are always extremely friendly and always leave patients happy and smiling👍... (Show more)

Excellent practice. I have been coming here for 20 years. I have had such a positive visit with Sam and nurse Donna replacing a cracked filled. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. All the staff here are brilliant. As soon as you walk in you are welcomed by the ladies on reception and dealt with brilliantly. Vicky the hygienist is superb. I have a crazy fear of dentist for a few reasons, but Awaz was amazing. She took her time to listen to my fears and explained everything every step of the way. Never let a receptionist fill in your n.h.s financial assistance forms.We did and we're fined over £200 as she wrote gauranteed pension credit on the form instead of savings pension credit.We had no choice but to pay it and could not even appeal the decision. This was surely a miscarriage of justice.... (Show more)
Lynn Rodes was kind and patient and took interest in my wellbeing. Explained very well my dental care needs.
The receptionist staff are lovely. My dentist is Samira who is lovely and she makes me feel comfortable and at ease and helps me the best she can. Aliyah and other dental nurses are also friendly and lovely. I want to thank them all for everything they have done for me.
Thorough clean from the hygienist and her assistant today. Some useful advice was also received.
The staff were very helpful and professional throughout and I would recommend this practice to anyone requiring dental treatment.

I was extremely stressed when I've arrived at the cabinet. I had my appointment for one extraction and one composite filling with Dr. Christine and Casey. I've had the best treatment soo far in my life and the pain was none. In 15 minutes i had anesthetic, filling done and extraction. Extraction was literally less than one minute. Extremely happy😊...
