Dr Lawrence Murray-Curtis
Having obtained his dental degree with Hons and Distinction in Restorative Dentistry from the University of Malta in 2001, Dr Murray-Curtis went on to complete a Masters in Implant Dentistry with Distinction at the University of Manchester in 2008.
Ms Alyona Murray-Curtis
She graduated with an MBA in Banking & Finance from Maastricht School of Management. She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the University of Malta.
Ms Amie Derbyshire
Joined Silk Dental Care in 2011 with an NVQ Level 3 in Oral Health Care and qualified in First Aid. She works as a dental nurse with Dr. Murray-Curtis in general and restorative dentistry, including implants and other surgical procedures.

I lost all faith in dentists after I had a bad experience with my last dentist I had been with for years . Farhana Ali has restored my faith, she is absolutely amazing the sweetest young lady who is kind, considerate, helpful and explains at every stage what she is doing. Love my new smile! I had some old discoloured large composites removed from my two front teeth which were previously both broken, and Danny built my teeth back up using composite bonding. My smile is brighter and my new two front teeth fit my smile line better than my old ones. Danny and Sam are both really friendly and they're professionals so they made the experience a pleasant one, and I'd recommend Silk Dental to anyone.... (Show more)

Have had a lot of work done by my dentist Rachael Minmaugh. Cannot fault the treatment and will highly recommend Silk Dental. The surgery is light, modern and clean & Sam & Tracy are very helpful and welcoming
Rachael and Sam are friendly, and talk you through everything. Very reassuring, even in the uncomfortable moments which they handle expertly.
Really friendly and welcoming practice. Its probably the nicest dentist I've ever been to as they seem to genuinely care. They take the time to fully explain any treatment and answer any questions. Hassan and Lydia were helpful and friendly today as usual.

Gina is a brilliant hygienist, always explaining things very clearly, putting me at ease during the cleaning sessions. She is very thorough in her approach, discusses home cleaning routines in detail. She was great with the fillings as well, her thorough approach was very appreciated, fillings are stil perfect. I can highly recommend Silk dental fantastic very helpful and polite staff from receptionist to dental care I wish I had met them years ago as I always had a fear of dentist but the care and effort they showed was 1st class if you need dental care call them you won’t regret it
Root canal`s can be complicated, Afzol breezes through them with his skill and professionalism, keeping you at ease and informed all the time, and with the help of lovely Sam its a great atmosphere to be in. I cant thank them enough.
Hands down best dentist I’ve been to. I’m a very nervous patient but Dr Hassan and Kasha were brilliant with me. The practice offers sedation which was amazing for my tooth extraction - there’s no way I would have even sat in the chair. Aftercare has been superb. Thanks so much.

Meticulous treatment for a root canal. I was informed throughout about the process, possible complications and was advised about possibility of post op pain. Very pleased.
I hadn’t been to the dentist for over 22 years due to a severe phobia, but finally had to book in for treatment and was recommended Silk. I couldn’t have had a more pleasant experience with friendly and patient staff who made me feel comfortable and at ease. Great job done on my teeth by Hassan and Kasha and literally a pain free experience considering I needed quite a bit of work doing. I would recommend Silk Dental to anyone who asks and those looking for a good dentist who care for their patients. I’d also like to mention the hygienist and receptionist who are just as caring about their patients, so the whole set up is perfect for anyone who worries about the dentist.
