Booked an appointment for me and my friend. The hairdresser did not speak any Bulgarian and was an absolute beginner, which might not have been a problem if they had mentioned it when booking the appointment. The girl, in addition to working extremely slowly, was constantly distracted with other friends/clients and the work went even slower. So for one wash, a simple feature cut and a blow dry I spent an hour and a half in the salon and came out with much shorter hair than I wanted because the girl was desperately trying to straighten it... My friend was in line after me and for a completely normal haircut it took her an hour and she even managed to cut his ear with the clipper...Extremely unprofessional. I understand it needs to be learned but absolute lack of communication. On top of that, we paid 50€ for these two services, the price does not justify the poor quality at all. Too bad. I am very disappointed with the service. First the manicurist was speaking Russian only, which is absolutely fine but at the end communication was not great plus she was not welcoming and nice, it was like she HAD to do my nails but she did not care if I was going back or not. Then, she does not have regular nail polish which let’s say it’s also fine even though I prefer regular for my pedicure. No decorations as well. Ok, fine AGAIN! I am trying to be flexible. At the end I asked her to not cut my skin in the middle of my nails because many years ago I was told by a professional manicurist that I should not let anyone cut them because they feed the nail. And at the end whatever the reason, I have a right for this request. Because of that she refused to put nail polish neither on my manicure or pedicure!!!!! Because it would not be pretty. And I can say for sure it’s not at all pretty without it!!!!! I would not recommend her or the saloon since I had this experience there and I would NEVER go back! We found this place by accident and are very impressed with the quality of the specialists and the management team at this salon ranging from manicure, pedicure, hair cut, color and treatment, massage, etc. The quality of work and expertise is off the chart and some of the best in my experience. Communication in the salon and between appointments is always polite, prompt and professional. I keep coming back and every time I am in Varna, I plan to schedule appointments. In fact, most of my family has been here for different work and this is provided stiff competition in the area. I understand that such reviews are based on personal experiences, but we had at least three different specialists and all were excellent. We are always greeted as part of a larger family and the staff and the management team make every effort to get to know their customers and their preferences. The salon is always clean and well maintained and supplied but not cluttered. One caveat - you need to have cash with you because the salon does NOT accept credit cards. And as everywhere in Bulgaria, you need cash for tips.... (Show more)
