Dr Nick Winslow
He studied at Newcastle University and qualified in 1982. He worked in all of the Newcastle Hospitals and carried out research into children’s lung disease and dizziness in the elderly before working as a GP at Coldstream, Harbottle and (since 1991) here. His wife is a GP Training Programme Director and they have two sons, Bob and John.
I have been with this practice since 2016. After a previous breast cancer diagnosis, choosing my new GP was a very thorough decision. I cannot praise this surgery enough. They are like a family. Nothing is too much trouble. They put their patients at the heart of what they do and they are a fabulous rural community resource. I have never struggled to get an appointment or advice from their excellent nurse practitioner when needed. Dr Karen is my usual go to GP and she is an excellent practitioner with an empathic and holistic approach to care.... (Show more)
Significant improvement has been noted by members of the community since Dr Beattie has joined the practice as a partner. From opening the practice door the atmosphere is now welcoming, calm and the professional caring outlook all new staff have is remarkable. What a transformation!
