Dr karen mcgrath
Dr Karen McGrath graduated from University College Cork in 1999. After completing her internship in Cork and Limerick, she lived in Australia until 2002 working in Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, Paediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Dr McGrath completed her vocational GP training in London, where she worked at the North Middlesex Hospital in the departments of Medicine for the Elderly, Paediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology and in a large GP surgery in Enfield. She achieved MRCGP qualification in 2005. She was also awarded diplomas in Family-Planning Medicine and in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in London. Dr McGrath has been working in Dublin since 2005. She qualified with a Higher Diploma in Dermatology in 2008 and gained MICGP in 2011. Dr McGrath is registered with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) and is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP). She continues training and updating in general practice medicine and regularly attends GP educational meetings and conferences. Dr McGrath attends local Primary Care Team meetings and works regular sessions with the D-Doc out of hours service. Dr McGrath is an active trainer on the North Dublin City GP Training scheme since 2013.
Dr Ciara Flynn
Dr Ciara Flynn graduated from UCC in 2008. She completed her Internship in 2009 at Cork University Hospital and the Mercy University Hospital Cork, and following this she trained in Emergency Medicine for 3 years in Australia. She returned to Ireland in 2012 and joined the North Dublin City GP training scheme and prior to joining santryGPie in 2014 she worked in various specialties including Medicine for the Elderly, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Psychiatry and Infectious Diseases.
Giving 1 star coz I cant give any less. The receptionists are rude, cold, careless, unprofessional, unconcederate. Am now seeing so many reviews bashing these receptionists. Here is my experience - Wife was in combined care with this gp. After first few appointments, we could not attend for one appointment. Since then, they did not provide any appointment. They would not pick call and would not give call back and would not give appointment on email either. Basically they dont want you to visit them. Cut to today, had a 2 week baby check up. Due to new born's varying schedule and feeding and diaper change, we reached around 25 min late. The receptionists were cold as ice and told us to reschedule the appointment as we were "more than half hour late". They are running a gp clinic, its a 2 week baby check appointment and they expect us to be "on time". Now its not that they operate like clockwork. When you visit, you do spend more than half hour waiting. But if your new born is late by half hour, bam! Go back! By the way, the Doctor, midwife, nurse here are very good. But the clinic system is shambolic. The receptionist should be fired at first chance.... (Show more)
Did not accept my request for registration, even though it was closest to home for my wife and new baby to walk if I was out. Reception told me: "Omni is not much further". 2.5km further, when we can see the Santry GP practice out of our window.
If it was possible for me to rate this place (i wouldn't call it a clinic) without giving it a star, i would have.. Such a worse place to go to if you are thinking of consulting a Dr.. The receptionist is so unfriendly & rude & so is the main dr.. Not at all professional & not concerned about any issues we have. This place is a joke.. So please refrain from seeking any help from this place.. This is only there for them to make money.. Nothing else! The worse clinic i have ever been to.... (Show more)
If I could give the receptionist a zero start would give them that. They are so rude. I went there twice to try to register as I was feeling a lot of pain for more than a week and they were very unhelpful. I felt so mistreated and I had to go to a different place far from where I was. They look like they don´t want to help you and absolutely their attitude shows they don´t care, they are just there doing their "job" and that´s it. First impression is the most important especially if you feel unwell, and those receptionist can make you feel very uncomfortable. If you can avoid this GP, I will suggest everyone to go to another different center. I ended up going somewhere else and the attention was amazing. I wish they realize after all the bad reviews provided and I wish in a while they replace them for someone with professional skills. Thanks for reading me.... (Show more)
Receptionists are not helpful, they don't answer the phone. Appointments are rushed, symptoms and diagnosis googled and it's so money orientated. Would not recommend.

I've been going to this practise a long time and have always been been happy with my doctor but recently I went to Dr Beatrice I can honestly say she has been amazing very supportive and thoroughly understanding I highly recommend she really is an asset to santry gp ❤️
Hi all, I dont know why everyone is squaring up on Dr Karen. I have visited this place twice and both time I had a good experience in Santry GP. Both time I was diagnosed properly. I had no problem with the receptionist as well. The second time I visited, Dr Karen pulled up my first time visit records and checked on me regarding the first time issue. Nothing but bad experiences at this “gp”. Dr Karen McGrath is possibly the worst doctor I’ve ever dealt with. Stone cold, dismissive, condescending, no compassion. I would not recommend if you are seeking help or advice for any issues! You will basically be told to deal with it. Her back is turned to you majority of the time during your app and does not speak to you like a person! The young lady receptionist however is lovely to deal with :)... (Show more)
Very professional clinic and excellent doctors for many years to me & family.
I find the receptionists rather unfriendly, snotty and not very helpful which is completely opposite of the purpose of their job. I don’t like dealing with them and always make the whole experience going to this GP practice very unpleasant. My GP was okay and professional to deal with.
The worst Gp clinic I ever been and heard, reception extremely rude and angry all the time at the phone or in person, Dr Karen useless, horrible experience every time I called or been there, I DON’T RECOMMEND
Absolutely terrible customer service, booked an appointment online just to find out that it was cancelled as apparently " a payment is necessary" before , when website clearly give an option to pay by cash. Constant delays and appointments can be cancelled by them without a notice and staff always say a walk in service is unavailable as its " booked out ". Wouldnt recommended.... (Show more)

Dr.Karen and the team are very good ,my family and i have Dr.Karen as a gp for three years now and we are very happy with the choice we’ve take
Lovely staff! The reception really great! Called to ask about covid and registration . Verry helpfull and kind. I could feel a foreign accent , but she guided me through the all process. Finaly a good Gp clinic.

Rang on behalf of my 90 yo mother 13:15 10/02/22 and got an answering system did not leave option for leaving a VM. Then went into the online Surgery form, what a joke, to get to a point where I could free type after what was needed, vague spurious directions. Anyway that isn't even the.the point l, the point how in the goddam world, is my mam, who is in general in good health, supposed to even begin to appoach making appoint to maintain her.own dig ity and independence, instead of asking her son, and feeling inadequate and dependant on such a mumdane task In mams words "And tell them to get the robot off the phone" (i.e. useless answering system) GET YOU PHONE/CONTACT SYSTEM ACT TOGETHER, AND GIVE ELDERLY PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT TECNICALLY ESTUTE SOME DIGNITY BACK. By the way, all reading this, it is not the first time this happenened, last time mam was trying for over a week to get through on her own independence/autonomy, before she asked for help almost pulling her hair out in frustration at herself and feeling stupid I really thought this surgery was going through operational/technical changes and they needed to fine tune them, last year, not so at all, if anything it is worse. Before you regiter here and get caught up in all that swapping GP, please consider this. This is not currently an amenable service for the elderly, once there mam finds the doctors great, but getting to that point is a major, major obstacle.... (Show more)

Dreadful. Called up to register, really nice and helpful over the phone. Emailed a couple for days later to check if they requested my patient file and it was “no I can’t request a patient file…. recommend that you find another doctor. Simple repeat prescription!! Bizarre Wouldn’t waste my time with this one, can’t even get simple patient files straight…dread to imagine what the medical treatment is like!... (Show more)
