Thanks Doctor James and the team! They are professional, helpful and friendly. I gotten stress fracture at my left foot. Doctor are very patience and provide solutions. I had a knee cartilage and meniscus injury and decided to undergo a keyhole surgery in Jul 2023 after weighing out the options proposed by Dr James. There were several facilities that Dr James could operate at so patients could choose what they are comfortable with. Before the surgery, the clinic's nurse Hannah visited my ward to guide me on what to expect and it felt assuring for me. She had also settled my insurance claims professionally. Shortly after my surgery, Hannah and another nurse Nisa visited me again to brief me on medication to take etc. Not to forget, Dr James also checked in on me hours after the surgery to ensure that everything was fine. For my follow-up consultations, Dr James had always been encouraging even though my recovery process took longer than expected due to my personal conditions. Dr. James and the staffs are very friendly and nice. They are very helpful and they even teach my daughter what to do and how to tape her toes to stabilized the broken bones. They tale care and process the insurance claim too. The staff explained well what can be covered.
I had experienced some limited mobility on my right knee since sustaining a dance injury. A friend recommended me to Dr James Tan who, through an MRI scan, diagnosed me with complex ACL tear and meniscus tear. Eventually, I went for surgery under him. Definitely a five star review ,I first came to see Dr Tan Chung Hui James and his wonderful staff mid November regarding an ingrown toenail problem I was experiencing. A couple of days later the procedure to remove said toenail was executed painlessly and very professionally. The after care I received from all staff at Quantum was excellent in every respect. I developed tennis elbow pain in November last year, and my ordeal began when I sought treatment for it. After being diagnosed with a tennis elbow tear that required surgery, I sought opinions from multiple doctors, both in India and at Quantum Clinics in Mt Elizabeth, where I met Dr. James. Initially, everything seemed promising. Dr. James recommended surgery based on scans, and I trusted his judgment. However, my experience quickly turned into a nightmare when I arrived at Farrer Park Hospital for the surgery. Right from the start, there were billing issues, and the Quantum team appeared utterly disorganized, lacking clarity on the procedure. Still, I proceeded with the surgery, fully aware that such procedures are naturally painful. The real problems started to surface after the surgery. I had been given an estimate for the surgery costs, but the actual charges exceeded this estimate significantly. I reluctantly paid nearly 1200 SGD out of my pocket, with the rest supposedly covered by insurance. However, my follow-up appointments were far from pleasant. I reported developing wrist pain two weeks after the surgery, only to be dismissed by the doctor, who claimed it was part of the process. Around a month later, the hospital contacted me about an outstanding balance, which came as a shock. I reached out to Quantum to clarify the discrepancies in billing, and I identified several charges that were duplicated and excessively inflated. My calculations indicated that the clinic owed me money, but I generously offered to forgo any refund if they could simply resolve the matter with the hospital. After two weeks of back-and-forth, the clinic's response was disappointingly predictable. They offered a so-called "goodwill discount" and claimed I no longer owed anything to the hospital. Keep in mind that the surgery had already cost me over 20k SGD. When I returned for a follow-up appointment, I was met with outright indifference from the doctor. He showed little interest in my condition and even had the audacity to ask, "Why do you have pain in your wrist? It shouldn't be the case," despite previously suggesting it was a normal part of the recovery process. Before the billing fiasco, the clinic regularly contacted me for reviews and updates. Since then, they have fallen silent, with no calls or messages whatsoever. To say that this has been a terrible experience would be a gross understatement. My elbow is in a worse condition than before, and I've learned a valuable lesson: always seek multiple opinions rather than blindly trusting a single doctor's advice. Professional doctor and good customer service staffs. My husband was referred to Quantum Orthopaedic by his panel GP due to swollen and painful knee. Due to the urgency, we requested for a same day appointment and we managed to get it to see Dr James same day. My husband was arranged for a MRI on that same afternoon. PVNS was detected in his swollen knee thru MRI. Dr James is very professional and knowledgeable to explain everything about the issue and the surgery process included the risk behind it. Dr James comforted us to not too worry, He was very firm & confident let me felt my husband was in a good hands. The surgery was done successfully and my husband is recovering well. Visited on Nov 2022 for my right wrist surgery. Was recommended by friend. Dr James and his team are professionals and friendly. Base on my previous MRI film which i have done at other clinic, Dr James clearly explained my hand condition with maniquin for my better understanding. Scheduled my op on the following week. 1 week after op, did a consultation with Dr James. He showed pics and video of my hand during op and explained what have done. He is very detailed with his work. Both side of my stitches was beautifully stitched up. Nurses also call/text to follow up post op. I am very well taken care of by Dr James and his team. If you have injuries related to ortho/sports definitely recomend Quantum Orthopaedics!... (Show more)

My name is Shmuel Hershko and I’m gladly taking this opportunity to share my experience with Doctor James and his team. This time I will start from the end, without a shadow of a doubt, please DO NOT hesitate and over think, you have an orthopaedic issues? Go to Quantum, you won’t regret it. Sport’s injuries are not new to me, finding the right doctor after the fact is a work of art, and this time I found the right one. I had a long going knee issue that I ignored. I continued my sport habits till the inevitable happened (as it was supposed to happen one day). Went to my doctor, was referred to Quantum and that is where the story begins. The moment you step in, it feels like home. Warm and smily welcome (even with their masks on) from the first step by doctor james staff followed by a professional yet very welcoming doctor James. I was diagnosed, sent to MRI for the technology to confirm what we already knew and got the news delivered in a sympathetic yet very professional way. I need a surgery said the doctor. For a person like me that always active that was a hit. Doctor James took his time to explain about the procedure, it’s risks and chances of recovery ( do yourself a favour and challenge doctor James, he likes challenges and you will get tue best answers for your personal recovery). It’s time for the surgery and once again everything worked like a clock. Went inside, the physiotherapist waited for me for crutches and post surgery walkthrough. The team inside support you all the way and all I remember next was that I was awake and two smiling faces looking at me, explaining in details how it went and what to expect next. I left the clinic and started the long way of Physio. My intention was clear, full recovery or not at all. I believe that this is doctor James and his team their finest virtues. They listen and understand your needs and they will go far and beyond to make it happen. Don’t get easy on yourself, push boundaries and do whatever it takes to take care of this wonderful machine that called the human body. I went there for a painful shoulder and restricted movements. CT scan showed a frozen shoulder, injection of corticosteroids into the shoulder joint decreased the pain and improved my shoulder mobility. Really Great exprience with Quantum Orthopaedics and Dr James. I was referred to Quantum Orthopaedics by my friend when I suffered from pain at my knee after an accident. Dr James was kind, patient and very professional, he exmained my situtation carefully and explaiend everything in details to me. The MRI scan and following ups were arranged by his staffs in a very efficent and hassel free way. Dr James also speaks excellent mandarin(华语棒极了) which helps me to understand my medical situtation better. Professional service, friendly staff, and clean and aesthetic office. I went to see Dr James regarding a wound on my right calf and the treatment was exceptional. He was very friendly and warm, I knew I was in good hands when I was interacting with him. I could feel his concern for his patients and he would go the extra mile to ensure his patient’s well being. His staff also demonstrated the same level of professionalism and warmth. He helped to address my wound promptly and quickly, assuring me every step of the way. After treating my wound, he also had regular follow-ups to check on my condition to ensure that I was healing properly. This is the kind of treatment I hope to receive from my doctor. I visited Quantum Orthopaedics with elbow problem due to sport injury. Elbow initially infected resulted in bursitis that had to be surgically removed. The surgery was done and I’m back to training. The medical expertise and the patient care was excellent. In addition appointment timing was always kept making visits time efficient and <$_3> was offered when dealing with medical insurance. I was referred to Quantum Orthopaedics by my GP when I suffered from a prolapsed disc in my neck, which was trapping a nerve that ran down my right arm and shoulder, causing severe pain and discomfort. Dr James was kind, patient and very understanding about my situation. Gave very good explanations about my condition as well as the treatment options. I cannot recommend the clinic and all of the staff highly enough. They all went the extra mile to book MRI and physiotherapy appointments for me, making sure everything was handled correctly by my insurance firm, and keeping me updated about everything along the way. I approached Dr James through another doctor’s referral when I was having immense knee pain from a fall I took climbing. Dr James did an initial assessment and sent me for an MRI. I was initially devastated to find that I had torn two ligaments in my leg - and to return to sport, I would have to undergo surgery. Despite my initial apprehension, Dr James and his team were very patient and understanding in explaining the procedures involved, and reassured me that I would likely make a full recovery - or perhaps even emerge stronger post-injury. Under his advice, I went for ACL reconstruction surgery and meniscus repair. I was well taken care of throughout all stages of my surgery, and I couldn’t have been happier to have done so under Dr James. Dr James and his team were also incredible in assisting me post-surgery. Not only did they walk me through my projected recovery, explaining how long it’d take, etc., they made sure that I would be comfortable when recovering at home after surgery. Despite feeling pretty hopeless/frustrated initially, knowing that I had to take a long break from sport, Dr James and his team’s clear and detailed guidance on my injury gave me much to be optimistic about! Now, almost 4 months after my surgery, I’m well on the road to recovery and have almost gotten back to where I was before my injury. I’m amazed at my progress since the injury, and only have Dr James and his team to thank for taking care of me so well in these few months! I would highly recommend Dr James to anyone - you’ll be in good hands! He’s very experienced in this field, and he and his team will have your best interests in mind.
