Proton therapy is a highly precise method of radiotherapy, mainly due to the physical properties of protons themselves, as well as to the specific way proton doses are distributed within tissues. The utilisation of this method results in high local control over tumors, a lower probability of damage tosurrounding healthy tissues, a low risk of complications and a higher chance of rapid recovery.
