Dr Costin Octavian Banescu
After qualifying as a dentist in 2003, Costin worked in general dentistry for 10 years, whilist continuing postgraduate dental courses (including orthodontic and implant courses). In 2012 Costin became the owner and Principal of Portland Street Dental Practice.
Dr Sarah Bokota
Sarah is our Hygienist, not only is she conscious but she is a very dedicated Hygienist, keen to encourage our patients to the best of her ability to improve in their overall dental care and hygiene. Sarah achieved a diploma at Eastman which enables her to treat our patients to the highest standard, a standard that we at Portland Street Dental Care, feel that all patients deserve.
Dr Pamela Hobbs
Pam is our Dental Nurse and also Practice Manager. Being one of the longest serving members of staff, she is known for her beaming smile, her reassuring care that she provides with our patients and her dedication as a team member to deliver the best quality of care.

This is the best dental practice that I have ever been to. Costin and Pamela make the perfect team! A brilliant, perfectionist, skillful dentist coupled with a very welcoming and professional practice manager. I had an 18 month Invisalign treatment, and would thoroughly recommend this to anybody who has crooked, uneven teeth and wants a confident smile. Gentle dentistry - what a fabulous practice. I used to be truly afraid of going to the dentist. Matthew Jones and now Costin Banescu have totally eradicated my former view and previous experience of sitting in the dentist's chair. They have the expertise, professionalism, compassion and sensitivity to change what was something I used to dread into a very positive experience. Been going to Portland Dental care for over 20 years, great people great dentist!
We make sure we visit this practice every time we are over from France, this is usually once or twice a year. Normally I have been seen by Mathew but on the last trip I was attended to by Costin, I could not praise him high enough, he was patient and extremely professional, his injections were as painless as the 2 removed and replaced fillings that were sorted. I have been coming to this dentist for years now. Costin always makes me feel reassured. I have always hated going to the Dentist but Costin and Pamela and team make you feel so relaxed. I will always recommend them to anyone.
Amazing service. Staff are very friendly. Very happy with my treatment and the results I’ve achieved with Invisalign. Price is reasonable for the first class service they provide.
