Mr Lewis Rawson
Studied at the University of Hertfordshire and now specialises in sports and occupational disorders of the neck and upper limb, with an emphasis on shoulder dysfunction. Lewis has extensive post graduate training and has worked with many elite dancers. This has developed Lewis’ assessment and treatment skills, with his treatment and rehabilitation strategies being sport and lifestyle-specific to maximise the recovery process. Lewis also has a specialist interest in the treatment of cervicogenic headaches.
Ms Gemma Hammond
Qualified as a physiotherapist at Brunel University in 2004 and joined the physiotherapy team at Spire Bushey Hospital in 2008. Gemma treats a wide range of musculo-skeletal disorders incorporating the latest technologies and equipment. She has developed particular interest in lower limb biomechanics in sports rehabilitation, having worked alongside elite athletes. She has completed extensive postgraduate training and further specialised in manual techniques, acupuncture, Pilates and hydrotherapy. Gemma works closely with the consultants at Spire Bushey Hospital, ensuring an efficient transition from diagnosis to rehabilitation and recovery.
My Dad had a hip replacement operation at Bushey Spire hospital and he could not recommend the hospital more highly for anyone considering this type of operation. be very careful with Spire Group. when checking in I signed their form and explicitly stated NO CONTACT TO PARTICULAR 3rd Party . This was ignored and therefore my confidentiality was breached.
I recently had an operation on my foot under general anaesthetic, and was allowed to go home later that day. I can honestly say that the procedure was carried out smoothly, and when I woke up I was looked after in an exceptional manner. Every member of staff I encountered were both professional and kind. Ayub at Spire Bushey Hospital, cardiology department is always sympathetic when we visit He is also very professional, efficient and courteous. We feel well looked after.
It's hard to know where to start. Positives are the staff were lovely and the operation was successful however the aftercare was severely lacking. I left hospital with MRSA & E Coli. The E coli resulted in me having to manage a catheter at home for several weeks, the infection was eventually picked up by the GP despite two visits back to the hospital. The MRSA was only picked up when I was tested for a minor procedure a few weeks later. I am still trying to get some form of compensation (so far only a derisory offer) however every email I send takes months (I am not joking) for a reply and adding insult to injury I have been passed from one person to another. No one seems to care. They have had their money and now I am left chasing and chasing and feeling extremely let down.... (Show more)
Very good. nurses are lovely also everyone was so professional. The doctor explained all what was going to happen and overall a great place too have a operation.
I saw Priti Chohan at Bushey Diagnostic Centre for some blood tests and ECG. She was super friendly and professional, the quickest painless blood test I have had. The diagnostic centre was clean and modern and I was seen promptly upon arrival.
The Spire Bushey pre assessment unit is spotlessly clean. All the staff are polite and so helpful. Particular mention goes to HCA Margareta Bowring who was so warm and lovely. She instantly made me feel at ease, with her funny sense of humour and advice about my procedure. I actually couldn’t wait to see her again the following week! I had my surgery at Spire Bushey Hospital 2 weeks ago and I could not have hoped for a better experience. Staff were very friendly and professional. A big, big thank you to my nurses who were very attentive throughout my stay, my anaesthetist, Kannan, for the best sleep ever, my surgeon, Dr. Jambu, for his amazing skills that have made my post-op progress go without a glitch. Priti was amazing! She made me feel safe and calm before my wisdom teeth surgery. She was kind, comforting, and very quick with the assessment. Thanks to her, I feel relieved and confident about the procedure.
Priti Chohan was excellent. Very gentle and gave me very clear instructions and guided me perfectly until the blood test was done without any problems whatsoever. Perfect lady and excellent nurse.
