Bad experience with Dr Andrew Ellis. Sloppy, tardy, dishonest, more interested in the money than the client.

I started my journey last year with the re-alignment of my teeth, culminating in the restoration of problem teeth (largely due to alignment problems) and had the good fortune of working with Dr. Pieter van Rooyen. My experience has been nothing but fantastic! The reception team, office managers and everyone are always so professional, happy to see you, remember you by name. Respond timely to inquiries and Dr. van Rooyen along with his lovely assistant are just a pleasure to work with. I wholeheartedly recommend Patheodent - and this is coming from a patient who prior to this, had an irrational fear of dentistry. Best dentist I've ever been to. Made me feel relaxed all the way, friendly staff. So happy with my dental cleanup, that I stopped smoking. My teeth is so white and I still have one session left.

Dr Klein radiates calm and works quickly to fix my numerous fillings (from years of avoiding the dentist). He has a great chair side manner.and in his hands my dentophobia recedes and I am almost relaxed. What a relief to find a dentist that makes the whole experience less of a trauma. Very nice staff. Sadly I've had one filling done completely wrong and had to return to have it done all over again. It happens. The thing is, went back recently and it happened again with another dentist. Filling cracked after first appointment, then cracked when came back to have it done again. Third time lucky (had to re-do it twice on second appointment) it stayed in, but I have pain now as if the gum or a nerve is exposed. I also had a bad sensitivity issue due to a gum receding and they just did stop-gaps which have not helped at all. It feels a bit like a very efficient factory churning out appointments. I've never had these issues before and I've also never paid as much in the past either (not even close).... (Show more)

I am absolutely in love with Patheodent! Their staff and customer service is of the best I have ever experienced. And I have seen my fair share of dentist practices over the years. Excellent service and very friendly staff

In my experience, this rates as the top dental practice in Cape Town - perhaps even the entire country. Dr. van Rooyen and his team, are taking a logical step-by-step approach, from initial assessment through various phases of co-ordinated treatments, to get my dental requirements and needs into 100% magnificent form. If looking for a dentist who truly cares, and refuses to gloss over fine technical detail, Patheodent (Dr. van Rooyen specifically, in my case) certainly warrants the highest of accolades.
