Ancient tombs with fragments of vases and terracottas can be found at the Museo Archeologico Statale di Altamura. The 400.000 year old calcified Altamura Man and footprints of dinosaurs were also discovered in the nearby area. Altamura is also very close to Matera which is internationally famous for its ancient town the “sassi di Matera”, Alberobello for its trulli constructions and Castellana for its caves. These can be visited in a day trip. CLIMATE: mild winters and warm and generally dry summers. Maria Giacinta Ferrulli graduated with distinction in 1998 at the University of Bari in orthodontics. The dental practice was established in 2000 in Altamura and provides a full range of dental services such as pedodontics, conservative therapies, endodontics, implants and orthodontics. Among the training courses she has attended there are the Tweed course in Tucson (Arizona), straight wires and functional orthodontics. She is also qualified in the Invisalign treatment. Her team consists of her assistant and three technicians who are specialised respectively in orthodontics, prosthesis and implants.
