I’ve been seeing Zach Getz, the physical therapist, for years because of varying issues. He’s one of the smartest and best PTs I’ve met. He listens and tailors the program to meet my needs.
Everyone were nice. It was my first visit. At the front desk the workers were very helpful, and pleasant.
Very friendly staff and doctor. Gave me hope that I thought I'd never find. I couldn't be happier.
Everyone in the office is super nice. Pleasant experience.
Dr. Hosny has been so pivotal in my recovery. I have been to so many doctors that were unable to help me and I’m so grateful that I found him.
I am very lucky to have found Dr. Zach Getz at New York Pain Care to help me rehabilitate my ankle after fracturing/spraining it so I can start dancing and being active again! I appreciate how he has taken the time to get to know my injury and creates individualized exercises that targets my main issues. It's been 3 weeks and my ankle has already felt much better! I highly recommend Dr. Getz and New York Pain Care to anyone looking for a thoughtful, knowledgable and patient physical therapist!... (Show more)
I have been coming here since 2018. I broke my back playing soccer. And have a few surgeries. The pain I was dealing with was insane. I needed real help. The team listen to me. And was able to support me with ways to handle the pain. From medication to procedures, to physical therapy. I didn’t have to go around the world looking for someone to believe how much pain I was. They knew immediately. Recommended anyone with life changing pain and pain that you have to live with, come here.... (Show more)
The Staff there is wonderful. Martha, the office manager is a "Wonder". Everyone there, All (Receptionists) are friendly, kind and I felt that they care about my injury. Always get back to me with any questions I may have, to confirm appointments, to rescheduling and to see "How I'm Doing". Really, Top of the Line "Service". There is no "Flaw" not one at New York Pain Care. Zach , The Physical Therapist just knows every single thing and detail about my injury. I was quite "Baffled" the knowledge he has about my injury, Incredible! The Best for Last, Dr Mehta. I mean, he is just a "Gentleman " in a every sense of the word. He is so "Attentive" and "Gentle". Unfortunately, an injury is troublesome, I am Limited and "I want things to be better! Now!" , Right?😭 Fortunately, with the A+ Staff. It makes everything much "Easier" and it reminds me, "All is and will be well". Thank You Kindly from the Bottom of my Heart ❤️. Thank You and God Bless 🙏 Bernardo Cano... (Show more)
Dr Mehta gave me a cortisone shot in my SI joint that reduced my pain. That’s the only good news. The bad news is that this office operates like a money maker more than a doctors office. There are piles of forms you have to sign, they do cortisone shots at a surgical center instead of the office, and they billed my insurance 63,000!!!!!!!!!! For the shot. My insurance repeatedly called me to tell me the office filled out my paperwork incorrectly or wrote “I don’t know” about questions I had answered for the doctor (eg that I had been doing PT). I had two CT scans and for both despite the Dr recommending Lenox hill radiology, this office filled out Union Square Imaging. Which then prompted my insurance to refuse it again. Every time I complained to the office they told me it was my insurance. Every time I complained to my insurance they told me it was the office. So to see they charged this insane amount of money for a cortisone shot was shocking but I shouldn’t be surprised. I have private insurance - maybe if you have Medicare they are getting money this way? They insist you need sedation for the cortisone shot. Why? Most doctors do this in their offices. This place cannot be recommended... (Show more)
I started physical therapy with Dr. Zach Getz after persistent shoulder pain limited my ability to exercise (swimming, weight training). From the initial consultation, I felt well supported in my treatment: Dr Getz set appropriate expectations for the pace of recovery, emailed videos to guide my at-home exercises, and provided helpful feedback on my progress during our sessions. I really valued his expertise and warm one-on-one care. Since the therapy, I’ve been able to get back to regular workouts.... (Show more)
I went to Dr. Mehta with excruciating pain from sciatica/herniated disk which made it difficult for me to walk. He took his time to listen to me and examine me. He prescribed steroids that took away the sharp, burning pain that would shoot out from my lower back and down my leg. I could not believe how the next day most of the pain had disappeared. I will follow up with <$_0> for further treatment and go to physical therapy to learn how to strength my back so hopefully this problem will not return. Dr. Mehta has also successfully treated my husband for a herniated disk. He is an excellent doctor who I highly recommend and his staff are also very nice.... (Show more)
I look forward to my appointments with Dr Gupta and the Staff very pleasant and Attentive to my needs it’s always a pleasant visit.
IT WAS A PLAESURE WORKING WITH DR METHTA AND HIS ASSISTANTS.
For my first visit, everything went very smoothly. The wait time was only a few minutes and everyone at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. Zach, my PT was very thorough and warm. He asked a lot of questions, put me through a bunch of tests, and figured out how to move ahead with my lower back issues. I would recommend the facility highly and look forward to my healing process.... (Show more)
I was recently prompted by NY Pain Care to write a review about their clinic. Here are my full thoughts: 1) The wait room. The wait time is not terrible. It will honestly depend on the time you arrive, the concentration of patients, the paperwork the staff has. Though I have read many reviews that have stated issues with insurance billing in the waiting room, this is not something I myself can attest to. Ms.Ashlesha Kulkarni has provided me with professional, cordial and friendly service. She will highlight portions of the documentation required for you to sign, so that the waiting room process is less of a pain. Additionally, you will find tea and other coffee goods in the waiting room, of which is a tasteful addition of amenities to offer patients who may feel anxious or peckish. 2) The medical staff. I was seen by Anesthesiologist Dr. Deepali Gupta -- a professional doctor who offered swift and effective service. She is able to provide quality care and was helpful in my time there. However, Dr. Gupta is curt and your visit will be abruptly short. During two instances of procedure, Ms. Ashlesha Kulkarni took my vitals and noticed my heart rate was absurdly high as I was anxious and took measures to reduce that anxiety. When I expressed concern during IV insertion to Dr. Gupta, she smiled and stated "We use these for babies." In my opinion, this is not an effective measure to reduce patient anxiety, and can be interpreted as rude. Other statements she had made include: "Do you want to go ahead with the procedure or not," and my personal favorite, "We can go ahead and perform this without anesthesia if you'd like." Overall, I rate NY Pain Care a 3/5 experience. I provided this rating because the waiting room is a very classy experience. Ms Kulkarni is helpful and friendly medical assistant. Dr. Gupta is also clearly a trained professional in her field. However, I deduct points for the statements she had made that affected my comfortability. ***EDIT: 04/25/2024 I once again sought out the medical advice of Dr. Gupta. After explaining my experience and situation she approached me with a changed, more charismatic response. I am grateful that she had tried to mend her original verbiage with welcoming diction. I have seen many positive reviews about Dr. Gupta and was unsure why my experience was difficult. I can tell she made real effort to turn around her approach. Thank you.... (Show more)
Dr. Mehta is an incredible doctor who listens to his patients and is willing to try a host of treatment options for the best outcome. He has successfully treated me and my husband and I highly recommend him.
The staff is amazing & so is Dr. Gupta. She definitely has my trust in helping me get better with my back that I’ve injured while swimming. She definitely deserves a 5 Star rating!!
Great doctors and staff.
I started P/T at Manhattan Rehabilitation for post lower back surgery five weeks ago and have been seeing steady progress . The sessions are one to one . One physical therapist and one client Zachary gradually increases my work load as I progress . After each new exercise , he makes to ask how I feel . He watches my form and answers all questions . I am confident that within 5 or 6 weeks , I will be fully recovered from laminectomy : discectomy surgery .... (Show more)
