Got my hair transplant procedure done few days ago, with doctors Gabriella and her husband Harnandaz. I’m very happy with all the process. From beginning to end. They are very professional and knowledgeable! Everything was very organized and clean facility. Staff and all personal assistants very friendly and super nice. Jasmine was great answering my questions and keeping me updated every time. The clinic is in very good area in Tijuana, as well as the hotel I stayed near by the clinic. They book us a driver to pick us up from the hotel in San Diego and dropped us off at the San Diego airport after surgery. Everything went smoothly and I highly recommended Dr. Harnandaz at Neopel Clinic... (Show more)
I had an eyebrow transplant in Neopel with Dr. Ana Gabriela Hernandez Amaya, very nice attention, very pleasant and attentive staff Dr. Ana Gabriela answered all my questions, 100% recommended the Neopel clinic.
Dr Ana Gabriela performed the hair implant on my husband, he was very happy, excellent care and professionalism!!! We highly recommend it.
I research and analyze everything too much. The good people at Neopel very patiently answered all of my questions over the course of more than a year. When I finally decided to have a procedure done, I was still nervous. They made me feel so much better just with general reassurance and their extensive experience. Dr. Gaby is a superb artist. A virtuoso. Heed her advice to the letter. What you want is important. What she suggests is practical. They have done this many many times and know how to get optimum results. Though the process took a long tiime, it was mostly painless. Dr. Miguel knows his equipment well and is happy to discuss any technical aspects. He sees exactly how he wants things long before he has picked up an instrument. I've had more painful dental appointments. I speak some Spanish but don't look like I would. Their conversation regarding me was always pleasant and professional. Though I was not always the topic of discussion. They talked about their lives, kids, hopes, dreams, dinner plans, and dating. They did call me handsome. (thanks ladies) All this while operating on me with dexterous efficiency and exacting precision. It's easy to discern a well practiced hand at work. Near the end, I had eight practiced hands working on me. As for the results, they are exceptional. Consider that it takes a while to see your full results. 6 months at least. The sooner you start, the sooner you're looking better. I look at least a decade or two younger. Wish I'd done it sooner. I would highly recommend Neopel to anyone considering a hair replacement procedure. Not just for their unbeatable pricing, but also for the care and high quality of their experienced craftsmanship. I am considering a second procedure just to make it all a bit thicker. But if I never did, I am still exponentially more happy with my hair than I have been in many years. All this and zero scarring or complications. Gracias por tu gran trabajo Neopel. Thanks for your great work. Truly a job well done!... (Show more)
Service: the Service here from the initial email to the time I left the Service was great from the entire staff. They made everything really easy and simple and made me feel comfortable. I have for an FUE transplant for my crown. Food: na Drinks:na Pricing: the pricing was fair as I didn’t shop around but found this place to be best after doing my research. I would definitely recommend this place. Location (int./ext.): this is located on a clinic that had 2 or 3 other separate clinics that offer different Services. There is parking in front and on the street. Will be updating with pictures in a few months.... (Show more)
For reference I’m a 34 years old female. If you’re someone that wants some maintenance on your hair line this is the place. Sometimes you just want a touch up and not every clinic understands that they charge for the minimum amount of grafts and they give you a hard time. Neopel was the first clinic that adjusted to my needs. My problem is not major, it was a bald spot right in the center of my hair line and I have attached pictures, I have a widows peak but missing hair around it. I wanted the most natural result following my natural hair line. And finally I had my hair transplant FUE yestarday 03-14-2022 with no pain even today the next day and after anesthesia went away. Pain was my biggest my fear ahead of the procedure. This was my 6th consultation and what I loved the most was Dr. Ana Hernandez reaction to my needs and her confidence after inspecting my scalp! She thought my case was easy and straightforward based on what I wanted! The day of my procedure: I arrived at 8 am and out of the door by 12:30 pm. Every case it’s diferente! After Dr. Hernandez shaved my donor area because yes! you need to shave it and the bigger the space for them to work it’s better in my opinion because you need to take care of that part of your hair too otherwise you will create the problem over to that area, you can’t tell at all with your hair up or in my case I have good amount to cover the spot. I uploaded a picture too. Claudia and Telma (Nurses) make sure I was comfortable and give me medication to relax. Make sure you go with empty stomach, since one of the medications makes you kind of nauseous for a very short period of time. Minutes after D.Miguel arrived and he make me feel safe and calm during the whole process, he did the hair extraction of my donor area with no pain at all after the anesthesia kicked in, shots didn’t hurt much but the anesthesia inside the scalp did but nothing major, I am super afraid of pain and it was ok with me so don’t worry. The transplant was done by Dr. Ana Hernández. More local anesthesia was provided now were the will do the transplant this area is much sensitive so pain was 2 out of 5 for the anesthesia but after a few minutes, I didn’t feel a thing. After everything was done she provide my medication to take home and instructions. I wasn’t drowsy at all. Doing this review because there is not many of girls transplant or small cases like mine, you can get a little help if something bother you, I hope I can help someone out there to find the place because I had a great experience with them. I will update my review after 7 months for the final result, so excited for it! UPDATE: It took me more that 7 months to update my review but I'm very happy with the result, very natural.... I always thought i’d just shave it all off eventually and go with the bald look…but things change! I started by researching prices in So Cal, which lead me to also start looking at services across the border. I read several earnest, positive reviews about Neopel and contacted them for a consultation. From the initial contact via email Neopel was nothing but professional and not the least bit pushy. The price was about half of what it was in So Cal and included a ride from the SD airport and back, as well as a night in a hotel (Fairfield by Marriott). I put down a deposit, and scheduled my procedure (July 29, 2022). The week of, my driver reached out to me and helped me set up a time and location to meet. She was super friendly and very responsive. The morning of the procedure we met at the SD airport. i parked in terminal 2 plaza and she picked me up at arrivals. My driver (Jolvian?) was very friendly and spoke excellent English. Arriving at Neopel: The place was super clean and all staff that i worked with were fluent in Spanish and English. I was greeted promptly and filled out paperwork and made payment. I met with Dr Ana Gabriella Hernandez in her office to discuss how i wanted it to look. She was super friendly and even thought it was a great idea to facetime my girl to get her thoughts on my hairline. We went with Dr Ana’s recommendations as it would create the most natural look. Her main nurse, Claudia prepped me with an IV so she could administer painkillers, antibiotics, and anti-inflammatories during the procedure. The procedure: Dr. Ana and Dr. Miguel tag-team the procedure. Dr. Miguel does the extraction and Dr. Ana does the transplant. During the transplantation portion Dr Ana and her crew of three nurses worked like a well oiled machine to load up the insertion needles, one at a time, to get through the insertion as efficiently as possible. Pain: I’ve seen a bad review from someone that obviously has a low pain threshold. If you can tolerate the pain of dental work or a tattoo, then I THINK YOU CAN IGNORE THAT REVIEW. The numbing shots were really the only painful part to me, with the first two shots being the worst, and they tell you that as they give them. After the first two shots they all get a little softer as the skin is starting to numb from the first shots. Any time you might wince from pain they’ll stop and check in and see if more local anesthetic is needed. Note: I have about 150 hours of tattoo work done. In my opinion the eight hours of hair transplantation was comparable to eight hours of getting inked, but less painful because my tattoo guy doesn’t numb you. Discomfort: I don’t classify discomfort as pain. The discomfort of laying on my stomach for the extraction got to me, but Dr. Miguel noticed me shifting and called a five minute stretching break. Beyond that, the sound and tug or poke of having about 2500 follicles extracted and 2500 insertions into your scalp can wear on your nerves. They helped offset that with Xanax and versed though. Duration: It took about 4 hours for extraction and 4 hours for transplant. The cool thing is they feed you lunch in between, which also allows you to catch up on texts, calls, emails. Post op: Dr Ana gave a very thorough post op/recovery walk through. She even suggested i record it as a voice memo so my girl (Who happens to be an RN) can keep me honest and on track with my recovery. The cherry on top: Dr Ana gave me a ride to my hotel and didn’t leave until she was sure i was checked in. Talk about service!... (Show more)
Highlights: Amazing experience. Highly recommend it. Exceeded my expectations of results and service. Dr. Gabriela and her staff are ethical professionals. They are very skilled, and up to date with the latest hair transplant advances. Dr. Gabriela's recommendations are made thinking on YOUR well-being and aesthetic goals only. I never felt that I was being pressured towards paying for a more expensive or longer treatment. She wants what you want and isn’t just there for your money. Choosing Neopel: My wife helped me find out about Neopel on Google. She was very effective because she chose the best option. I am a Mexican-American and I never looked for treatments in the USA because: 1. IMO, Mexican and American doctors can be equally qualified. I grew up in a circle of MDs as my father is an anesthesiologist in central Mexico, so I am aware of their meticulous preparation. Although, you have to be careful about choosing an experienced doctor who has attended worldwide hair transplant conventions. 2. Price. The cost was fair, even for Mexico‘s standards. I am not sure if there are cheaper options, but you want to pay for the best, and Noepel is the best. Hair transplant is an exhausting task, it requires a big staff working around the clock. My surgery lasted six+ hours. For them to work that long really deserves the money charged. Before my appointment, I read a bad review where a transplant could not proceed due to the pain sensitivity of the patient. Hair transplant is a serious procedure. Your doctor’s priority is your health and IMO Dr. Gabriela made the ethical decision. They know what is best for you and act accordingly. Regarding the reimbursement, we have to put ourselves in the staff's shoes: they only have one procedure per day and the staff is big. IMO it wasn't Neopel's fault and they still deserve to get the day paid (at least partially). Please talk about all the risks (and reimbursement terms) with your doctor in your evaluation appointment. Evaluate and decide. But be aware that (as with all surgeries) no matter how well you prepare, life doesn’t always go as anticipated. Case, evaluation and procedure decision: Now back to my case: I had a deep receding hairline and little hair in my crown. During my evaluation appointment after talking to Dr. Gabriela, I decided to go with FUT. This gave me maximum hair follicles and major coverage. You have to be very careful as the Internet is FUE hype. Dr. Gabriela will be very straightforward and will honestly advise you with the best procedure for your case, although she will respect your decision. EVALUATION appointment is critical to set the right expectations. I am happy to have chosen FUT because the coverage in my hairline now looks awesome!! Dr. Gabriela advised me to transplant the hairline area only and treat the crown with medication. This is because the crown is not as severe as the hairline and the FUT transplant would deliver better visual results if applied in the front area only. As I mentioned before, the doctors are there for YOU. I am happy I followed Dr. Gabriela's advice and not my biased ideas. Procedure day: Hospitality was excellent. Staff guides in every step and they are honestly kind. Once in the procedure you will notice that this is a serious operation and a lot of hard work. I got 3500+ hairs that took from 9am to 3pm to complete. The staff never stopped working and their work was top-notch. *You will hear how the hairs are injected into your scalp, which can be a little intimidating. Or, maybe that was just my case as I have thick skin. *You will leave the surgery with detailed instructions and medicine, so no need to worry about stopping by the pharmacy *You will get a meal and (if you need to) a medical pass to cross the border fast. Recovery: 1-2 days after. No pain so far with the medications. 2+ to be updated.... (Show more)
I went for a follow up FUE and 6 months later the results are great. Both doctors are very good. The pick up and drop off service from the airport, along with the other arrangements, went smooth and easy. The price is fair as well. Highly recommended 👍 …
If I could give Dr Hernandez and Dr Miguel 6 out of 5 stars, I would. From pick up, to the extraction, to the placement, to the ride home everything was exceptional. My ride to the procedure arrived on time and she made the initial nerves quiet as we joked about translating from English to Spanish. The initial consultation in Dr Hernandez office helped visualize what could be with the FUE transplant. She drew on hairline multiple times -- I could immediately tell I was in the right hands with the precision and time she took to get it right with her years of experience. By this point all the nerves were gone. Dr Miguel did my extractions and the only pain I felt was the initial needle numbing localized areas. Hell, I even took a couple hour nap! The extractions took about 7 hours for +/- 4,000. Then we broke for lunch where they provided the best pork and carne asada tacos I've ever had. Thoroughly recommend if they give you an option to pick the tacos. The pork was my favorite. After 30-45 mins break we prepared for the placement. Once again, no pain at all. Only a few spots where the localized anesthesia didn't take place but Dr Hernadez made sure to ask multiple times and check in with me to make sure there was no pain. After all was said and done, she arranged for a ride back to my hotel with a goodie bag of post operation care. Dr Hernandez made sure to go through each step day by day and made sure that I understood how to treat post op. I loved the entire experience. I'll be back in a year or so to finish the back crown and can't wait. So excited to have my hair again. I'm only 3 weeks post surgery but very excited to see progress as it unfolds over the next year. Thank you Dr Hernandez & Dr Miguel!... (Show more)
I'm 9 days out from having had a FUT procedure. Dr Hernandez, Claudia and Jazmine were absolutely amazing. I've never had surgery before and felt very cared for throughout the process. They are very warm and professional with a wealth of experience. The surgical room was sparkling clean and they all made sure I was comfortable. We planned out my hairline carefully to make sure that I would be happy with the result. So far everything is going exactly as explained. Their driver Cha Cha picked me up in San Diego and we were at the clinic in less than 45 minutes, they supplied a hotel room the night of the procedure as it takes all day and Cha Cha drove us back to SD the next morning. She was early for both pick ups and very nice. I can't recommend this clinic highly enough. I'm excited to see the final results in a few months. I had a consultation in LA for less grafts at more than twice the price. Surprisingly there was no pain, just minor discomfort here and there. I thank Dr Hernandez and her team for a great experience.... (Show more)
Dr. Hernandez and her team are amazing. My hair started thinning in my thirties, so I looked into hair transplants, they were expensive in Canada but my parents live in Arizona half of the year so commuting to Tijuana was easy and I would save around 70% on the procedure compared to Canada. I had the clinic do FUT 5 years ago to the front of my head. It looks amazing. Yesterday, I had the FUE procedure to my Crown area. Both procedures were very smooth, Dr. Hernandez and her team are very caring and very professional. They will treat you like you are family. If anyone wants to talk to me about question, they could always facebook to me at Logan Kennedy.... (Show more)
Had my hair treatment four days ago, Great experience with Dr Ana Hernandez and her husband Dr Miguel also their staff are great!
I had hair transplant FEU 4 months ago with Neopel. There aren't enough words to describe how amazing my experience andy results. Most professional team. I wouldn't choose to do it any other place
Excellent straight forward service from Dr. Hernandez and Miguel. They made my trip from Canada easy and all I had to do was get on a plane. I would highly recommend their services to anyone considering an FUE transplant .
Neopel is the #1 clinic for hair transplantation in Tijuana. Stop searching, THIS IS THE PLACE. I just had FUE with Dra. Hernandez and Dr. Alessandrini. The whole experience was 5 stars, from pre-surgery consultation, front desk assistants, nurses, installations, equipment, etc. Dra. Hernandez will explain everything and solve all your doubts. Also very detailed explanation regarding <$_7>. Everything was excellent. Thank you.... (Show more)
I had my appointment on July 8, 2022. I was at first a little nervous about my surgery because I have never had a surgery done outside the US. I first met Dr. Hernandez a few months prior to my surgery and she explained the possible procedures for me. She was very confident and knowledgeable. She explained that harvesting hairs from donor area would be done by hand as opposed to the ARTAS machine that I have read about. She said by hand was better. She was right because at other FUE clinics they recommend the same procedure. Dr. Miguel first Harvests hair and then Dr. Hernandez replants the donor hair where needed. They numb the areas so that you don't feel any pain, and I barely felt anything, when my wife asked me if it hurt?, I said that it didn't , and that I don't even feel any pain post surgery, it just looks like it hurts but it does not. they implanted 2,850 follicles so this comes out to about 1,500 hair grafts which might be better then implanting more grafts because hair follicles need to heal and if you implant too many then the other implanted hair follicles wont heal and die out, or your original hair you have could also have a shock and die out. They also gave me a good lunch during a break and they even put you up at a hotel plus a ride to and back from clinic. Overall I had a very good experience , I went in a little nervous and I came out feeling confident. I have already recommended them to a friend and he already has his first consultation coming up. So if you want to save thousands of dollars compared to US prices this is a great place to get your hair transplant done, US prices are way too overpriced and the Dr's want to scare you about choosing the right place, blah blah blah. I highly recommend Neopel with Dr. Hernandez and Dr. Miguel. 1st pic is day of, 2nd pic is day of completion, 3rd pic is one week after, 4th pic is one month after.... (Show more)
I am from Canada and found this clinic through friends. Dr Miguel and Dr Hernandez are excellent! Made me feel comfortable and safe. they are not only great professionals, but they also genuinely care about their patients. The procedure was virtually pain free and the results so far are great/ I would highly recommend their clinic The update photos are from 8 months after... (Show more)
I found this place on Google in late May 2022. I met the owner [woman] & immediately I liked her as a professional. I'm all about women empowerment & decided to give her the business..even though I found other locations in Tijuana that offer half price[$2,000] Dr Hernandez was $4000. I also gave her Botox business.. During my consultation before surgery , I wanted to be under anesthesia ..because I had other hair transplants before & the last 1 in Turkey , I couldn't handle the pain...she said yes.. My hand ✋️ on the Bible..I repeated this to doctors ,assistant & tech workers over 5 times..Now the Hair Transplant for hell..I was in so much pain during surgery..I wanted to stop. I told them numerous times to stop. They gave me only pain killers and I still wouldn't relax during surgery. Finally they told me they couldn't finish the work because of my pain.so I thought the fair thing to do is return 50% of my money..Dr Hernandez said No with a smile on her face like I was crazy & only returned $800 out of the $4,000. I was shocked with shame & regret. If you decide to give Neopel business..please be careful or do more research for better customer service & obviously cheaper prices.... (Show more)
