I think it is a very nice clinic, where they are ready to help you if you have any problems. I was helped with my stomach reduction in July 2022 and had to lose 3.5 kilos from the NOK myself. This all went well of course. I don't understand all the negative reviews, so far I have only had pleasant experiences at the NOK in Venlo. Also very friendly and helpful staff. Stomach reduction is a revenue model here, it's just big business! And that is very worrying. I have experienced up close how the entire process works, and it is terrible! If you are not heavy enough, you are advised to gain a few more pounds so that you are eligible for gastric reduction. How unhealthy is that? There is NO thorough preliminary process. People with obesity are often addicted to food or have another eating disorder. This cause must be addressed first! Otherwise you will slide from a food addiction into another addiction... and you will be much further away from home psychologically and physically. Be warned!... (Show more)

The first screening went through without any problems because I was just below the BMI, but osteoarthritis in my knees was fine. Then 2nd screening with 1 doctor present, psychologist and dietician via video calling. Was supposed to be called back within 3 weeks became more than 2 months. Because I have a metabolic disease I am on chronic pain medication. Suddenly I get a phone call that the surgeon, whom I have never met, thinks I should stop taking my medication... And then I have to start the process again. I did not get the chance to explain that this is not possible. Unfortunately, 1 star and that is only for the friendly doctor and assistant.... This is my personal opinion Very bad clinic After two years of going back and forth and losing money, and all the conditions were met, today we are back to the starting point and I regret wasting my time on this failed clinic When I asked them why I am now going back to the beginning, especially since the hospital gave me an appointment and I quit smoking and lost the required weight, why was the delay an additional half a year, they said that this is just an impression, in fact they do not feel the pain of others, I feel the psychological pain.
