About Nazaraliev Medical Center Nazaraliev’s Rehabilitation Center Specializing in Treating Drug and Alcohol Addiction The Nazaraliev’s Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center was established in 1991 in Bishkek, the capital city of Kyrgyzstan. It is one of the only centers in Eurasia that specializes in treating drug and alcohol addiction using holistic medicinal principles and practices. The Nazaraliev’s Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center has two facilities in Bishkek – a one hundred bed intensive care unit is located in the city; the second, an eighty bed rehabilitation unit located in the foothills of the majestic Ala-too mountain range in the town of Besh-Kungey. Dr. Nazaraliev’s medical center is a private facility and is the largest in-patient hospital for alcohol and drug abuse in the CIS. Since 1991, Dr. Nazaraliev and his associates have successfully treated more than fifteen thousand patients from all over the world. For example, individuals seeking treatment have traveled from Germany, Israel, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Canada, and the US. Also, one mandatory rule which applies to all individuals interested in seeking medical treatment - and is central to Dr. Nazaraliev’s therapeutic approach - is that admitted patients must be accompanied by a co-dependent. Considering the diversity of patients’ linguistic backgrounds, translation is provided if necessary. Since 1997, the medical center has been a member of the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH). In addition, in 1999, the medical center was awarded the title, Academic Institution. The medical center is a member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. Each year, a number of internships area allocated to doctors studying and training at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy. Moreover, doctors and medical specialists employed at the medical center are continuously engaged in research and development and are active in publishing scholarly articles in the most prestigious medical journals in the world. Over the past ten yeas, four PhD theses have been defended; five dissertations and three collections of scientific research have been published. Furthermore, Dr. Nazaraliev and his associates have presented more than one hundred scholarly articles and scientific works at various symposiums and conferences held in Russia, Germany, Great Britain, Israel, Belgium, Australia, and in the US.
