Three years ago I had root canal surgery on one of the molars in my lower jaw. Eventually the procedure failed and my tooth became infected. I was faced with having the tooth extracted or engaging an Endodontist to see whether it would be possible for the infection to be treated and the tooth to be refilled and saved. Following a recommendation from a colleague I had an appointment to see Dr Robin Carsons at Moody Terrace Dental Practice. I was incredibly impressed by the way in which I was treated as a new patient. Dr Carsons has a light, jovial but highly professional style which helped to put me at ease and reassured me that I was in safe hands. The treatment was completed in two one-hour appointments and was entirely pain-free. The procedure is quite involved and invasive but my tooth and my jaw settled down after a couple of days. I had an entirely positive experience. All of the staff are lovely and Dr Carsons and his nurse, in particular, are wonderful. I was quite nervous about undergoing the procedure but ten minutes or so into the first appointment realised that I was going to be OK and was able to relax. My Wife and I have made the decision to transfer to this practice. We will be taking advantage of the dental treatment plan that they offer in order to reduce the financial impact of any treatments that we require in the future. I contacted the practice due to a problem. The receptionist was very understanding, and a appointment offered next morning. The service I received from first contact to consultation was excellent.

Everyone at the practice is super friendly and nice. Tom is calm and reassuring to any nervous patients and Brandy has done a superb job at teaching me techniques to keeping my teeth clean and healthy. Wish I’d found the practise sooner

I have been going to Moody Terrace Dental Practice since 2019 when I was referred by my previous dentist for root canal treatment. I have had a lot of work done on my teeth over the years and this practice, the dentists, the hygienists and all the rest of the staff are the very best there is. Highly skilled with the most up to date equipment, knowledgeable, caring and patient. I could not be in better hands. Additionally, they will always find the time to see you if there is a problem and never make you feel you are wasting their time or being trivial. I was referred by my local dentist to the team at Moody Terrace for my implant surgery. Adam was amazing from the first appointment where he explained in detail the process, timelines and costings of the implant surgery. On the day of the surgery the team we're again perfect from start to finish, i was amazed at how gentle and painless Adam made the process and also how much he puts you at ease. 100% The best place around for any major dental work.... A Brand New Smile I post this review to hopefully help some people decide whats right for them. I've been a patient at Moody Terrace since 2012. I have a lot of pre-existing dental work, including some crowns that are over 40 years old. As I've gotten older, I've had more and more work done, including some work by the dental folk at Moody Terrace (Robin, Adam and Nick). When my upper canine teeth started yellowing and became decayed, I realised that although a number of my crowns etc. were OK, in appearance terms they were not so uniform, and had all been done "bit by bit" at different times, by different dentists and using different materials labs. I knew that what I wanted was a refresh, so that my upper teeth in the "smile zone" were all uniform, the same colour and well-matched in size and shape. Several of my family and some friends had recently been for some dental tourism in Turkey, and had various work done to transform their smiles. They were very encouraging about getting me to follow the same route. However, almost all of them came back with what seemed to me to be "whiter than white" teeth, unnaturally so, and this was not the look I was after. I did consider going abroad, but was also concerned about being "sent to Coventry" by my own dental practice here. I decided to have a quiet word with my own dentist at Moody Terrace. He didn't try to put me off, in fact he was quite complimentary about the general standard of dentistry that he had seen coming out of Turkey, whilst noting that there was also the odd "horror story". He did, however, suggest I get assessed and obtain a quotation for cosmetic dentistry from Paul, at the Moody Terrace Practice. Now I'd never seen Paul before, but he soon put me at my ease, and we discussed all aspects of what it was I wanted, there were some scans, photos etc. and I then received a quotation. This was indeed at a higher cost than I had heard of from my friends who had been to Turkey, but after careful consideration, I decided that I would be happier to have the work done locally, by a practice I was really familiar with and that I could quickly visit should anything go wrong. This aspect for me, was more important than saving a few quid. So I went ahead and had the work done with Paul, essentially in 2 sessions (both long). I'm completely delighted with the results, which were achieved through a really careful and considered  process. Step one was preparation, removing old crowns and prepping teeth for crowns. I should point out that I then went away with a temporary set (Top 8 front teeth) for a few weeks whilst the crowns were made, all at the same lab, with a carefully chosen natural colour shade. During this time I attended a family wedding, and no-one noticed, and I would say that even the temporaries gave me a better look than I had before. Now all is done, I'm really happy - if what you want is first class cosmetic dentistry, to make your teeth/smile look better, without necessarily having people say "Wow, look at you, look at your teeth" then I'd really recommend Moody Terrace, (and Paul Davies). Of course, they also do other aspects of dentistry too, and I'd recommend them as well for implants (Adam) and root canal treatment (Robin) too!! Thanks all at Moody Terrace, highly recommended!!! Previously... As always, great service from all at the practice. Having begun to suffer excruciating pain from an abscess in a known, dodgy back molar, after a day or so I could bear it no longer. I phoned at 9am for emergency appt. and was seen by Tom (not my usual dentist). All was discussed and agreed it had to come out, which was achieved quickly and painlessly the following morning at 8am!!! (by Paul, also not my usual dentist). Fantastic, thanks all!... (Show more)

I suddenly developed toothache which was really uncomfortable and rang the surgery first thing and got an appointment same day. I needed immediate treatment which was given and really helped. I was very grateful for such a quick and effective response.

I consider myself as quite a nervous patient but all the team here put you at complete ease. Thank you all, keep doing what you are doing!
