Jaime Ponce de Leon
Dr. Ponce de Leon earned his medical degree from the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolas de Hidalgo (UMSNH), and completed his general surgery residency at Hospital General de Tijuana (Tijuana General Hospital). Since completing a fellowship in laparoscopic weight loss surgery in the United States and France, Dr. Jaime Ponce de Leon has performed thousands of advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgeries, over 8,000 (eight thousand) surgical procedures. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Ponce de Leon has been a member of research teams that have published articles on a variety of surgical topics in several peer-reviewed journals. I had gastric balloon surgery at this clinic. They offered really reasonable rates. I’d never done a procedure like this before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’m satisfied. The clinic was clean. The duration of the actual surgery was just one hour, but the waiting period was three to four hours as the anesthesiologist was running late. I didn’t experience any pain.
