Meditours Hungary - Cosmetic Dentistry

Taking your not quite teenage daughter abroad for treatment is not a decision you take lightly and a daunting prospect for any father. My daughter was born with protruding ears something which the NHS class as cosmetic therefore they would not help, despite it having a negative impact on my daughter’s mental health/confidence and some isolated incidents of bullying. The cost of the treatment in the UK privately was around £4-4.5k however having been a frequent business traveller to Hungary I was aware that the medical treatment here was not only a popular option but likely to cost significantly less. My initial enquiry to Medi Tours Hungary, whom I found through Google, was over their online consultation web portal with Randy. The portal was really easy to use notifying me each time I had a message to read. After discussing the type of surgery we were enquiring about I uploaded several pictures of my Daughters ears. I was promptly given a price for the surgery, reassurance that we could achieve what we wanted from the operation and offered airport transportation and accommodation in the city centre at a very reasonable rate. The savings were significant compared to the UK and all I had to do was book the flights to Budapest. Upon arrival at the airport Randy was there to greet us and he drove us straight to the medical centre the whole operation was over and done with really quickly. We were made to feel completely at ease and I had no concerns at all, I was even able to stay with my daughter throughout and hold her hand. We were provided with everything we need to know and everything we should expect including pain killers and driven to our apartment. If you haven’t been to Budapest before it is a fantastic city full of restaurants and bars and rich in history and culture and the apartments provided were located right in the heart of the city making it easy for us to get food without having to travel too far or overdo it after the surgery. We left Budapest 3 days later following a further check up at the Medical Centre and clean bandages were applied. Randy drove us to the airport and we returned to the UK that evening. My daughter returned to school exactly 1 week after the surgery. Today (2 weeks since the operation) is something of a land mark occasion as this is the first time I can remember that she has worn her hair up - proudly showing her ears. I cannot thank Randy enough for being so knowledgeable, accommodating and making us both feel so at ease throughout our stay. Absolutely amazing! Had a nose job with Meditours, surgeon was amazing & Henning, my medical consultant was brilliant! I came from the UK to get it done and was very on edge, however they made me feel better about getting surgery in Europe. Will be back!
