The decision to transfer my father to ISSSTE came late, because Dr. Esteban had hidden the truth. My father died in a hepatic coma, a victim of hemorrhage caused by the operation. This painful episode highlights the lack of ethics and professionalism of Dr. Esteban, who prioritized his financial benefit over my father's health and life. If it were not for his ambition, my father would be alive, in stable health and enjoying his active life. It took away his opportunity to move toward a transplant, offering him hope that could have led to many more years with us.
