Matlis Medical, Urgent Walk in Clinic, Sports Med

Terrence Chin just scared away my teenage girl crying from a simple ear cleaning procedure visit, he was so unprofessional and really showed that he doesn’t understand the meaning of duty of care. His attitude also made me realize that mental health is such a big part of being a doctor and a human being. I guess he must live a miserable life otherwise how on earth him being so mean to a teenage patient? In my opinon, he needs to seek mental health help as soon as possible before he does more damages to other innocent patients and the reputation of this profession, or even people around him. If none of above matters to your clinic, think of your professional E&O insurance premium, I bet you are already paying substandard rates and you wonder why?!... (Show more)

We have been going to this clinic for more than 5 years now. All the doctors (Dr. Matlis and Dr. Koldorf especially) are nice and patient and carefully listen to patients. Not even one bad experience. Reception staff are average same as all other places but that’s not a problem since the doctors are awesome.... (Show more)

We went quite a few times to Matlis Medical and we were never disappointed. Yesterday my wife saw Dr. Koldorf, who is very knowledgeable and professional. He looked at my wife's chart before he saw her and realized how complicated her medical situation was. (One of her conditions is not at all common but Dr. Koldorf knew exactly what he was talking about.) Even though it was busy Sunday at the walk-in clinic he took his time to listen to her, consult her and ask pertinent questions. Then he recommended investigations and treatment. Totally agree with YZ below, the receptionist is horrible. If doesnt like her job or doesnt like talking to ppl she should find another job. First time walking in here and gurantee this will be my last. Maybe its her intention to fend out new walk-in. Anyways, extremely horrible attitude.

Open and close hours always changing!!!!!!! This place is beyond belief inconsistent!!! Doctors are great but they keep changing their hours of op many times!! I called at 11:30 that i will be coming and they said they are open, by the time i got there they posted a note saying they are closed til 3:30 pm!!!! I wont waste my time with this in future! We have been going to this clinic for more than 5 years now. All the doctors (Dr. Matlis and Dr. Koldorf especially) are nice and patient and carefully listen to patients. Not once did we have a bad experience. Reception staff are also polite and respectful. Mornings can get quite busy though.

I had bad knee pain since 14, and I’ve visited >10 doctors for this in both Canada and China. Some of those were “topic experts” and charging $200 per visit. But literally everyone told me to just stop running and then weightlift to build muscles around my knees. I did all that but twelve years later I’m still in pain with any tiny amount of walking. Dr. Matlis was different. He actually took the time to listen to me and ordered X-ray and MRI. Turned out I had a small growth and that was causing my pain all those years! Over a decade of pain caused by this tiny thing. All those years I had to avoid walking running skiiing skating dancing cycling, basically every fun activity imaginable. Dr. Matlis treats patients very friendly and carefully examines and diagnoses and treats diseases well.

There is indeed no mistake! The doctor opens the door at 9:30 and prescribes the right medicine professionally and quickly. At six o'clock in the evening, my husband was prescribed medicine for the same flu symptoms. The whole process was professional and fast. It’s the best walk in I’ve ever seen

Extremely Unreliable, Constantly closed when you need them. and you only find out after you arrive and see a notice on the door saying they closed at noon.

I had my son visited by Dr. Matlis recently. He checked him diligently and answered all our questions. Then he did a test and his admin called us as promised. I can’t be more satisfied of his pro services. He has the sense of being a doctor in blood.

Great walk in clinic. Dr Matlis is amazing! Is very hard to find such a professional nowadays. Highly recommended!

I had a great experience at this clinic, fast and efficient and really listened to what I was asking which is sometimes hard to find. Receptionist was very nice and quick, understood everything I was saying. The doctor at this clinic was amazing, so attentive, so patient and smart, really listened and helped. They were able to squeeze us in for a last minute appointment even after walk-in hours had closed for the day

Visited on a Saturday morning. There was a long wait but it was Saturday morning so to be expected. Reception staff was very friendly. Doctor was excellent. Follow-up was carried out as promised and efficient.

Matlis Walk in is great. I do appreciate the quick reply from Dr. Matlis. but to be honest Dr. Franklin only works 1 day a week. EVERY time I book an appointment. You wait 1 hour past your scheduled time then another 45min In the examination room. I’ll be looking for another more available doctor as soon as I can. Maybe I can find a doctor that works minimum 2 days a week?... (Show more)
