Dr Allan Kok
He graduated in 1984 with MBBS from the National University of Singapore. His interest in dermatology led him to be the first Singapore doctor to pursue the course in practical dermatology from Cardiff, University of Wales in 1993-94 under Prof Ronald Marks. He obtained the diploma with merit. As he wants to improve his aesthetic skills, he attended various courses, attended conferences and meetings in many countries. Among the mentors he visited/met are Prof Gary Lask (Laser Centre in UCLA, Los Angeles, USA), Dr Mitchel Delune (President of American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, AAAM), Dr Le Coz (Paris, France, tutorship under Dr Pistor, for mesotherapy), Dr Pierre (Paris, France for fat transfer) and Prof Rox Anderson (Harvard University for laser updates). He organised the first certificate course in Aesthetic medicine (2003) in Singapore together with AAAM which 33 doctors attended. With the success of the certificate course, he continued to organise the subsequent diploma in aesthetic medicine with AAAM.
