About Life Minded De-Stress I have been helping clients de-stress for over 15 years and as I provide therapeutic services online or over the phone I have clients all over the world. Unlike most therapists who focus on psychopathologies -- what's 'wrong'-- I help you focus on retrieving previous high points, accomplishments and achievements. Building on those, and your core values, provides you with a solid foundation to help you thrive and flourish, and issues like anxiety, worry and persistent low mood dissolve very more quickly. Our brains do not come with a User Guide, and our thought patterns are often habitual rather than inherently flawed. Persistent negative thoughts are invariably fuelled by us and this is often the brain's way of trying to protecting us by keeping us on high alert to guard against stressful situations. Just think how many sources of stress and anxiety --real and imagined--we're exposed to! I use a range of strategies, all of which are based solidly on neuroscience and proven ways to help bring about a calmer, more resilient mindset. These include Existential Therapy, CBT, REBT, BWRT and mindcoaching. Most therapies help you cope with feelings once they have occurred. I can help you dissolve the neural pathways that trigger those uncomfortable feelings, so you can replace them with how you would rather feel instead. And often in a few sessions. Not only can this remove a sense of despondency and gloom, but it can also help you plot a course to a life well-lived. If you are beset by uncertainty, worry and anxiety, and your thoughts are taking control of you, I can help you achieve a more balanced perspective. Fear can keep us safe. But we were not evolved to remain on continual high alert. Particularly when our protective radar turns in ourselves and we constantly keep a critical spotlight on everything we do, think and say. When anxious and worrisome thoughts take control of us, rather than us being in control of our thoughts it's not long before this becomes an established pattern. and that is when I can help.
