He has graduated from the Latvian Academy of Medicine specializing in microsurgery. He did research and his dissertation on microsurgical treatments was held in 1988. He has improved his qualification and knowledge in different clinics in the USA and Canada. Dr. J.Ģīlis is a regular participant of International Conferences and workshops on plastic, laser and reconstructive surgery.
