About Jain Eye Clinic Hospital This clinic is the practice of Prof. M. R. Jain, India’s leading Glaucoma , Phaco & Squint specialist. The clinic is located in Jaipur in the State of Rajasthan in India. Special glaucoma diagnosis is conducted by a Fundus examination to check changes in the optic disc and automated computerized perimetry & Advanced Test of OPTICAL COOHERENS tOMOGRAPHY ( OCT) is used to diagnose glaucoma at the early stage. Drugs are prescribed at first and when drugs fail surgical procedures are performed for permanent relief and post surgery care is also provided. Squint correction, contact lens fitting and retinal treatments are also provided for patients at the clinic. Prof M R Jain served as Prof & Head of Ophthalmology, for 17 years at various Medical Colleges of Rajasthan , including S M S Medical College Jaipur. He is one among 20 Ophthalmologist of India to be Awarded Life Time achievement Award and the only one from Rajasthan. He has edited books on Glaucoma and Ocular Inflammation. Trained in UK and delivered lectures in UK, Germany and Switzerland. He is the FIRST Indian doctor to perform Fydrov Sputnic IOL implantation in India in 1976 at SMS Medical College, Jaipur.
