I contacted Fatih Ozturk on a recommendation from a friend. Fatih organised everything from start to finish. All I needed to do was book my flights. The hospital and the team could not do enough for me very helpful. I went for gastric sleeve surgery, naturally I was a little weary. Cannot thank my coordinator Fatih Ozturk enough for all the help, all the arranging, the checking in with me and making sure I'm okay, especially as I travelled alone for my surgery from the UK. Equally I cannot put into words how grateful I am for all the staff at Istanbul obesity academy that have cared for me during my for 4 day stay for my gastric sleeve surgery, they were fantastic and so caring towards me. I was recommended to this clinic by my friend who had used them for her gastric sleeve in September and I'm so glad I went ahead. From start to finish from booking surgery, flights, airport transfers to and from the hospital has all been so smooth. Fantastic clinic. I came to get a gastric sleeve and Doctor Bora was perfect! He really knows what he is doing. I felt reassured and clear on what was happening every step of the way. His secretary Faith Oztuk was amazing, always responds fast, regardless of the time I message her. Very organised and I felt very well looked after. Would 100% recommend.

I had the gastric sleeve operation and this clinic was recommended by some friends who have used this clinic. They are now 2 and 1 year post op and they rated it a 5 star service. The service was amazing from start to finish. The communication on what's app was fantastic with Faith Ozturk . You get the same driver throughout and he was so happy and helpful. The hospital was spotless and every member of staff gave you such a high standard of care. The hotel we stayed at was beautiful. My mum came with me and she was given breakfast, lunch and dinner each day which she said tasted lovely. She stayed with me at the hospital and was given her own bed. You are given all your medication to take home with you and a specific diet plan which is very through. The communication continues when you get home and they are always there to help. Had gastric bypass revision surgery at Istanbul Obesity Academy. From the initial enquiry, to heading home everything was taken care of by Fatih Ozturk. All questions were answered and contacted with a surgeon was from the outset to explain everything. The surgery was very professional and very attentive. I felt very cared for. I would recommend Istanbul Obesity Academy.

I have just had my 2nd surgery at Kolan International Hospital Istanbul. The coordinator Fatih Ozturk is amazing at what he does. He went above and beyond his duty to make sure my experience went as smoothly as possible. My 1st surgery was MGB.and changed my life for the better. I have just had a gallbladder and bilestone removal also performed by professor Bora Koc. I would of had to wait for endless months in pain in the UK. Again the treatment was of an exceptional standard all orchestrated by Fatih Ozturk. All transfers are in luxury vehicles with A.C. I just went here for my sleeve this week. I can totally recommend it if you are considering this route. Communication from the very start with Fatih was perfect. ( it’s all via Wattsapp but don’t worry about that). Booked my flights, confirmed a date and flew out. My driver met me at 1am but was great. A little daunting the first night checking into a hospital at 2 am when it was so quiet but my driver helped get me settled in. The hospital staff started blood tests and other checks over night. In the morning the Doctor and his team came by. They are all fantastic. Very professional, very calm and made me feel relaxed. Explained what they were about to do and did it. I was asleep in a second and knew nothing till they woke me after surgery. Nurses looked after me really well. Doctor and his team came next day to see me. I was absolutely fine. No pain ( slight discomfort from the gas) I met the nutritionist who gave me information and advice. The next day I was ready in myself to leave. My driver came back, took me to the hotel which was excellent then picked me up the following day to go the airport. He had all the medication I needed in his car for me. I paid one fixed price, paid in cash and everything was great, it really was! I’m home now, feel great. Looking forward to my new life. It’s going to be a bit stressful where ever you go but it’s fine ,book this clinic with total confidence. I spoke to several people that went who told me what I’m now saying. I arrived Wednesday 15th June for gastric sleeve on my own was feeling very nervous but was put at ease from start to finish. Now at hotel waiting to get a flight home in the morning.

Great experience.I travelled with a friend who was my companion and her daughter who was also having the surgery. Very well organised from day one. Faith Ozturk guided us through the whole process from the initial contact, all the way to the follow up once home and was on hand 24/7 for any questions or worries. The whole process went very smoothly pick up from airport to hospital for pcr test then back to hotel. In contact the whole time telling us what time we'd be collected for the drive to the hospital in the morning. Once at the hospital it was very well run, the surgeon Dr Bora Koc came to see us and explain the process, he spoke very good English, whilst we had test done and blood taken. Once back from surgery the staff were very attentive and came to take regular observations, making sure we were free from pain and hydrated. I had frequent visits from the English speaking liaison who was there within seconds if a nurse didn't understand a question or answer you had. Dr visited quite a few times over the 3 day I was there keeping a check on recovery. Overall a very good, positive experience and would definitely recommend.... (Show more)

I started my journey when I sent my 1st WhatsApp, I had thought about getting it done for over a year, my gynaecologist recommended that I get it done. So I looked up the best places in Istanbul. Two of my friends had got their sleeve here and had fantastic results so I sent a message on WhatsApp. From the minute I did I was given the best advice, told every single detail of what was involved, it was outstanding. Every single time I messaged I was never waiting more than 2 or 3 minutes for an answer. I went over, a driver picked me up straight away from the airport. I went to the most beautiful 5*5* hotel to relax the night before. Then picked up the next morning by my driver and brought to the hospital. The nurses and doctors were just so nice and welcoming from start to finish. I got my sleeve the day after I arrived. I was walking around that night not a bother. I was so positive going because I knew 2 people who had we t before me, that's a massive thing, be positive and everything will be fine. The hospital is spotless, its so quite and lovely, I would highly recommend it.Thank you so much to everyone, Dr Boc, the nurses and Fatih Ozturk who was messaging me on WhatsApp before and still now to make sure everything is okay, it's really appreciated. I've had gastric sleeve surgery back in October 2020 operated by Dr Bora Koc. Fatih who was my coordinator was very friendly, professional and informative from the beginning, any enquiries I had were answered immediately. My stay at the hospital was lovely. All the staff members are friendly and made my stay very comfortable. Dr Bora Koc, has absolutely changed my life and I cant thank him enough. From 130kg I now weigh 70kg and still losing weight after almost 2 years post op. I had my gastric sleeve surgery on 26/04/22. It had been booked for a few months and in that time Fatih the coordinator was very patient and very helpful at answering my 1 million questions. Upon arrival at airport on 25/04, I was picked up by a lovely driver who made me feel at ease, I then was took to the hospital for covid tests and then dropped at hotel. All arrangements for the next morning were sent to me that day so I knew the schedule. I was picked up from hotel on morning of 26/04 and had to fast from 11pm the night before. I was immediately impressed with how clean and modern the hospital department was and how friendly the staff were. All the tests were explained to me and performed promptly. The surgeon Dr Bora came round and was so friendly and made me feel at ease. He explained they would do the endoscopy and the surgery under the same anaesthetic to minimise the risk. He also gave me a time for my surgery which gave me time to mentally prepare. I had my surgery in the afternoon of 26/04 and was sleepy and in some pain (mainly gas pain) for the next 24 hours. The nurses were very helpful and always asked if I wanted pain relief or help. I can't thank them enough. I spent two days in the hospital and then two days in a hotel before flying home. I would highly recommend the surgery and the clinic. Very professional, very customer service focused, made me feel at ease and the care was first class. I also had no transfers or taxis to pay, I was driven everywhere by the clinic drivers, given medication, a diet plan no instructions on how to start moving around.... (Show more)

I came to this clinic for a gastric sleeve and cannot fault the care and treatment I received. Fatimah who I spoke to about this treatment was so quick at replying to any of my questions and took time and effort to make sure I knew what was going to be happening and has since messaged to check everything is ok. Dr Bora who done the gastric sleeve was amazing at what he done Iv never felt so good after surgery, the hospital itself is so clean and has the most caring nurses you could wish for. Cannot express enough how good this journey was for me. The hospital, the staff, the surgeon, the support. Everything was professionally done and 'm 100% happy in the choice I've made. I'm 3 weeks in and I've lost 2 stone already. Since then 2 more friends and booked in to have the procedure to have it done.

I had a great experience at this clinic. Fatih was fantastic at organised everything, from collecting at the airport to answer any questions I had. The hospital was very comfortable and the staff were all very friendly. Would recommend.

I can't recommend the team enough. So far there are 5 members of my family that have travelled and had Gastric Sleeve surgery and an additional 9 friends. No issues between any of us. Hospital is spotless, pick-up service is top-notch, and after-care is great. The surgery was very reasonably priced and cheaper than other clinics we looked at, this did not make the service any less though, it was a*a* treatment. Highly recommended.
