Ideal Wellness Chiropractic Center in Itaewon Seoul

I moved to Korea last year, and after getting settled I decided to find a chiropractor to help me get ready for a return to the gym. So far, they have helped me with my head-forward posture, untwist my hips, eliminate my knee pain, and helped restore a collapsed arch in one foot. Dr. Choi even adjusted my sphenoid, which immediately made my vision a bit sharper, and improved my eye tracking and balance (interesting, right?). If you're looking for a chiropractor that will get results, this is the place. I've included more details about my own situation below, so keep reading if your'e interested: I chose Dr. Choi's office because he advertises a science-based method of treatment and his experience with sports teams. I myself have a degree in Kinesiology and have spent time working as a personal trainer, so I wanted someone who has focus and objectivity in their treatments. Dr. Choi delivered in that department! He is very thorough in his assessments. He follows a test-adjust-retest methodology, where he tests your neurological function, adjusts, and then tests you again to check for improvement. He also has two massage therapists in-house, who free up nerve roots and tight muscles so you aren't being pulled back out of position after your adjustment. This combination works extremely well! For the last 20 years (at least), I have had a major imbalance in my hips. I had major internal rotation on one side, a left-right tilt because of it, knee pain while squatting (patellofemoral pain syndrome), and a 'collapsed' arch in the same side foot. My spine was generally straight, but tilted to one side like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. In addition to that, the pandemic and office jobs had left me with a head-forward posture that has caused all kinds of neck pain. Over the last few months I have had treatment of chiropractic and massage therapy once a week. Dr. Choi worked on restoring spinal posture and alignment, and the massage therapists worked on releasing my nerve roots, nerve tunnels, and my pelvic imbalances. I did some stretching on my own as well, to help with what was released. We still have some work to do, but my head forward posture is almost corrected, my pelvic alignment is almost completely restored, and my leg has been repositioned. My foot and ankle have also changed in their alignment, which has shown my arch was not collapsed, but my foot was rotated downward into the floor. My arch is now at a similar height to my good foot, and the knee pain in squatting is gone. I've had other chiropractors and massage therapists, but none of them managed to do that! The functional tests Dr. Choi does while adjusting are also showing significant improvement compared to when I started, so I can objectively say everything is working better now than before. Now that my spinal posture and function have improved, he is also looking at my cranial nerve function. I didn't realize there was anything he could do there, but I have had very noticeable improvements in my balance and vision since then. Dr.Choi and the staff are very approachable and kind. Dr. Choi is fluent in english that's why you can talk to him and ask questions comfortably regarding your concerns, and he will explain it to you well and mannered.

This chiropractor is the real deal. I was having pretty intense lower back pain after flying here from the States and walking around with a heavy backpack for a week. I am pretty picky regarding chiropractors and have had a lot of them cause issues rather than help. But when I went here, the doctor fixed my lower back pain and even my neck pain in one visit with a massage and an adjustment. Now I can continue on for the remainder of my trip and really enjoy it. Had visited Korea on a holiday , and was in a bad need of adjustment. Dr Choi is very experienced. As someone who’s been seeing a chiro the last 3 years, I’ll say dr Choi is definitely up there. Pity I couldn’t find the time to go back for the follow up massage therapy. Thank you dr Choi!

My wife has been getting better on the pain of her body since she got the treatment 2 months ago. I recommend the chiropractor here. He is competent and knows how to treat our body well. I would like to express my deep gratitude towards Dr. Choi, Alex and other people of Ideal Wellness clinic. Throughout the lifetime I have been experiencing various health-related struggles. I was happy to find Ideal Wellness here in Seoul to have support and treatment on the regular basis. I don’t know much about chiropractics itself, however, what I know is that Dr. Choi does what he know, and knows what he is doing. And it works! It is nice for me to have his effective adjustments and cheerful support. As well as Dr. Choi does his adjustments magic, Alex provides professional medical massage. At 37 weeks pregnant, I developed severe sciatica and had an incredibly hard time moving or walking. Someone from my pregnancy group recommended Ideal Wellness, and I'm so glad I went. I had a massage and then a Chiropractor treatment. Within two days, my pain was gone entirely. I've been to many Chiropractic places(like 4-5) in Korea but Ideal Wellness is the one I settled for. Dr. Choi is a great chiropractor plus he has an amazing personality! 4-5 sessions with Dr.Choi and associates and a couple of stretching sessions had relieved me of most of the pain in my back, I am very grateful and recommend that anyone with or without pain anywhere go prevent or relieve it.

I came from Asan because someone said this doctor was good for people with scoliosis. I also had some pain in a knee due to a fall. Well I explained about my scoliosis and the knee. The doctor examined my back for two seconds. Then said go get a shot at another location. No recommendations for a plan to work with my scoliosis, just go. He also tried to blame my knee pain on my weight when I plainly said the pain started from an injury. The "exam" lasted all of 3 minutes from start to finish. No care at all. What a waste of time....
