Dr Andrew Girling
BDS, LDS RCS GDC no. 57281 Andrew qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1982. He became Practice Principal at Oakdene in 1986, and then in 1993 established The Mews Dental Practice in Lymington to create Group Dental. Canterbury House opened in June 2011 as a bespoke Implant Referral Centre. He has worked part time in Harley Street, and has an interest in Implantology, is a member of the ADI (Association of Dental Implantologists), and the ITI (International Team of Implantology).
Dr Tanya Burton
BChD MFDS GDC no. 153513 Ian was brought up in South Wales, before studying at Leeds University where he graduated in 2008. Since then he stayed in Yorkshire performing general dentistry, as well as a year spent in hospital as a maxillofacial surgeon. There, he was part of a team treating and caring for patients with head and neck injuries, infections and cancer. In 2011 he embarked on nine months of travelling round central America, South America and Australia. He became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2010 and is currently attending the highly regarded Tipton advanced restorative course. In his free time he enjoys running and has completed a number of marathons and ultra-marathons.
Dr Jane Robson
Jane trained at Leeds University, qualifying in December 1983 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree. After qualification, she worked in Reading and Guildford before taking a year out to travel. On her return, Jane worked in Brockenhurst in the New Forest for 18 years. A combination of her high clinical standards and friendly easy going manner has generated considerable patient loyalty. Jane moved to the Mews Dental Practice in 2006. Jane has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry and treating nervous patients. Jane is married with 2 children. She is an international orienteer, coach and competitive club runner who enjoys participating in most other sports with her family.
Dr Alan Price
Alan qualified from the University of Manchester in 1978. After some years of working in specialist Children’s dentistry and general dental practice, he joined a large dental partnership in Derby remaining there for 10 years working as a dental practitioner with a special interest in Orthodontics. During this period Alan also held part time posts with the Hospital and Community Services. 1992 saw a move to Spain to work in general dental practice before returning to the UK in the early 90’s. Alan has been with the Mews Dental Practice since 1997 and still retains his interest in Orthodontic treatment

I met with Nathalie Shah regarding treatment for gum disease. After an extremely thorough examination she explained in great detail the intricacies of gum disease in a clear and concise way and put together a treatment plan tailored for my particular problems. A couple of weeks ago, I had two appointments at the Mews dental practice, for the first time both went smoothly, and from there, I booked an appointment to have some treatment. On the day there was a little confusion as to what was supposed to be done (completely my fault). Irem and Zoe put me at ease talked me through options and most emphatically said not to do anything if I wasn’t sure. I wasn’t sure, so I left the appointment, wasting an appointment for them. I do applaud them absolutely because they put me first, I will most definitely continue with the practice as my dentist.... (Show more)
Such a caring clinic. What could have been an anxious situation was made easy and calm. Dental surgery is never fun but I can honestly say it was the best dental experience I’ve ever had. I felt so cared for and listened to. There was never a moment I felt worried or confused. Everything was explained so well and I left feeling very positive. Have been coming to the Mews Dental Clinic for many years (incl. their previous location at the other end of the high street) . I had had a couple of bad experiences with dentists and Andrew restored my faith. The receptionists are welcoming, the dentists are very good, and the new hygenist that I had latest visit is friendly and efficient. Update 2023: Since Andrew retired, my new dentist, Aurelija, is lovely, and gentle! My new hygenist, Justyna, is great, helpful and explains what I need to do very well. Outstanding experience. Had tooth extraction. Jonathan talked through everything - all very calming. Felt absolutely nothing during the procedure. Couldn't speak more highly of the experience.
