Very good staff and food. Would have scored higher if more aromatherapy relax rooms. Sauna and steam rooms small
Amazing
Very calming atmosphere and friendly staff, BUT no instruction on arrival about fire exits and it is a warren of corridors. All day tea/ coffee and soft drinks: tea/coffee luke warm and no soft drinks, water only. I was hit by door that opens onto main corridor from kitchen, later a rope 'guard' was put in place. Massage: lovely but after massaging my feet went straight to my face without washing hands. Guided walk: no information given as to where to meet!! After all this the lunch was very good!... Beautiful. calm with helpful staff
Great place to relax
WARNING: A serious skin reaction erupted on my face after the ‘Revive and Glow’ facial, despite the Oskia products used being ‘natural’. I sought treatment with a dermatologist who prescribed a steroid cream plus a 12 week course of antibiotics and further testing on my skin of the contents of the products used! However, Grayshott failed to send one of the products used on my face without giving a reason why. One can only guess why. This skin reaction meant I had to keep out of the sun all summer! The same therapist at Grayshott also gave me a deep tissue massage, which left me with bruises on my back! Grayshott offered me a free day at the spa to recompense me for the distress etc, but this is not an offer that makes up for the appalling situation I found myself in throughout the summer. Despite having been to Grayshott a number of times since the 80s, the standards are obviously deteriorating. Trip type Vacation Travel group Solo... (Show more)
This is by far one of the best places near me. There is a good size swimming pool, fresh towels dotted around, with sauna and steam room. Lunch is a buffet one with fresh food added throughout the meal, the treatment rooms although part of the same building feel tucked away and you really get a great sense of calmness. Tea, coffee and water are complimentary!... (Show more)
What a great way to spend a day. The whole ambiance of the Grayshott is a spa that has a hotel, rather than vice versa. From the moment you arrive you are warmly welcomed and treated to complimentary tea and coffee, fresh fruit, water and lots of different spaces to relax and decompress. There is a heated outdoor pool, indoor pool with jacuzzi, steam, sauna, plunge pool and even a small cinema!... (Show more)
Great choice for pampering and kick starting a healthy diet. The food, which was incredibly healthy, rivalled many restaurants in presentation and taste. Rooms were well appointed. Facility well maintained. Large choice of spa treatments and classes. Gentile, old world atmosphere adds to the overall experience.... (Show more)
Special treatment
I have to say, after staying in various spas as special treats with my other half, this is by far one of the worst. The rooms and hotel are in real need of maintenance. The food is for people trying to lose weight, however I don't want to and think there should be options for others. Cannot order fizzy drinks as its not healthy, but you're offered alcohol regularly, which is a bit bizarre. We wanted a cappuccino and were told they don't make cappuccinos until 12pm...tea and coffee facilities or iron etc in the suite (which aren't cheap) The grounds are lovely though but even they need a little TLC. I am very dissapointed in the stay to be honest, just wish it was a little clearer what this establishment is on the booking system, as I don't think it's for people looking for a conventional spa weekend.... Great tennis court
We had a lovely 4 days here, definitely will come back. All the staff were exceptional, the treatments were great. Enjoyed the experience immensely. Travel group Friends Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5
Very relaxing in areas although some parts of the spa look dated and need refurbished. Lunch was of a poor standard compared to when my mum and I visited couple of years ago. We were going to stay for dinner but decided against it based on lunch. The tea in the public areas was cold. Quite a disappointing spa day. Travel group Couple Service: 2 Location: 4... (Show more)
We were disappointed with our visit. The bedroom corridors near the spa overwhelmingly smelt of chlorine. Our 25 min massage turned out to be a very quick 15 min massage. It appeared that this is the norm as nothing was said about it. There is very little on offer in the form of classes for people who struggle with health issues. Everything geared to the fit . On a positive note the food was unusual and delicious.... (Show more)
This is a beautiful place... Very good SPA
Really nice however jacuzzi wasn't warm at all - I think it was supposed to be like that but it wasn't pleasurable. Also we thought drinks were included at lunch and got a bit of a shock when we checked out. The treatments on the other hand were out of this world
Beautiful place to relax and unwind
A nice building with a few, not so atractive additions. Food good with plenty of variety. It seems that basic maintanence has been neglected for years despite a refurbishment (?) a few years ago. New owners since July 2017 are tackling some of the "issues" with the establishment, but our room left a lot to be desired. A 'blitz' on general maintenance would be a good idea or maybe closing the business for a month ? Staff both helpful and polite. The grounds are both extensive and attractive. Disabled car parking, entrance into the building as well as access to the pool area need to be addressed too. Maybe in a few years time it might be worth returning. Maybe....... (Show more)
Impressed with treatments offered at Grayshott. Staff is excellent; room/bed is comfortable; food is amazing.
