I wish to comment on the Excellent service received at the clinic on the 28/11/2023. My visit was all good right from the start of the appointment and doctor selection through Effie, then Katerina who arranged the appointment with DR Garavelas. On arrival at the Clinic, It was a warm welcome from Afroditi and the initial consultation with Dr Garavelas’s assistant. All these were very assuring. My consultation with DR Gravels was very good and professional. He explained the procedures and did inform of us of his honest opinions. I decided to change gynecologists and visit Mr. Garavella. From the first moment I immediately felt the familiarity with him and he made me feel like I was in the best hands! Professional, impeccable in his work, always with a smile and with a lot of knowledge in his field. Mr. Garavela and I had the pleasure of bringing our baby into the world! He was close to us to inform us about everything, about what questions we had and about what was needed. Of course I will not fail to congratulate his wonderful team, the two midwives I had the luck and pleasure to work with! I worked with Irini for a few months but due to pregnancy she stopped (she is also a professional in what she does) and then I worked with Aphrodite who I still have in my life to this day! Aphrodite was one of the biggest supports I had near me both during pregnancy and during childbirth and without her I don't know how I would have been so strong for something I would have faced for the first time in my life! I felt her like a member of my family, like my friend but also like a psychologist! Sometimes words are unnecessary and a look or a hug is enough for the other person to understand you! I thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything and it goes without saying that you have a special place there! I visited Mr. Garavela Athanassios for the first time in 2017 after a miscarriage I had and after visiting various gynecologists. From the first moment he showed the necessary attention to what I faced while other colleagues of his did not pay any attention saying how it is something that happens! A few months later and after his treatment reassured me, I became pregnant with my first child, which I had in 2018. Ten days before, I also had my second child. In both pregnancies, whatever I needed, whatever question I had, there was an immediate response. My midwife was there throughout the pregnancy and even now ten days after the birth she is still contacting me to see how my recovery is going (I had a c-section). Excellent doctor and excellent staff. This is what a woman needs in this sensitive period of her pregnancy.... (Show more)

In terms of communication it’s a disaster And to think that I thought it was a good clinic. No one calls despite numerous emails to explain the treatment to me. The French correspondent speaks French poorly. For ovarian rejuvenation, stem cell treatment is no longer available. In fact, they really only do this for money.... (Show more)

The maximum of professionalism, kindness and empathy. We were looked after from A to Z. Everyone was very nice and the professor is the best from every point of view.

Having reached a "certain age", but with a great desire to be able to give a sister or brother to my daughter who had wanted one for a year now, my husband and I decided to rely (on the advice of the gynecologist) at Dr. Garavelas' clinic. .. Luckily the results were there immediately and in a few weeks my daughter's wish will be fulfilled with the arrival of a little sister!! The professionalism, kindness and humanity demonstrated by each member of the staff were exceptional: very important aspects not to be underestimated for those who decide to face a more or less demanding path for such a large project! I came for the treatment in Athens on October 4-5, I expected consultation with doctors but I was wrong.. I had no idea it would be disastrous and that I would feel so bad. I just arrived back to US and today, October 12th I still have a lot of pain in my stomach and three incision sites that are red, inflamed and painful. I understand that the actual treatment may be great, but the service was pretty bad. Many things were totally unprofessional, not just the long wait, organization and logistics. 1. Original treatment was scheduled for 1PM and I supposed to arrive at 11:30 AM but I was asked to come at 8 with empty stomach. The surgery still took place at 1:30 PM and it was tough for me to be there for all hours without food and water.. I ask (and paid for) to test blood for liver values but they refused to give me copies of results that were in my file, Mado asked me to send email to the hospital in a few days to request it. Till this day I don't know how to get them and already gave up on it. That is wrong. 4. Liver values in the blood were high, still antibiotics that I received post-treatment are in TOP 3 for liver damage! They could have given me different type of antibiotics if they actually cared. 5. The nurse took blood for PRP was not skilled and against my advise use the same veins as was used the day before for blood tests and were bruised, In my whole life I haven't seen a nurse trying to take blood from injured vein! As a result, the big vial of blood she took has coagulated and she started again from different places. After she took second vial, I was very lightheaded - it was too much blood over two days, also considering I had no liquids (as advised) for at least 15 hours prior to this disaster. So she inserted the needles into my veins 7 times total! 6. After I informed everyone that I am allergic to regular adhesive bandage and plastic tapes and need to use paper tape ONLY, they wrote it in my file in RED ink, but everybody: nurses, anesthesiologist and doctors put plastic tapes on me, even on top of the stitches after treatment. So now I have major allergic rush and stitches may not heal properly and leave scars. 7. Even doctor allegedly was free for my scheduled time - before the surgery room became available - he never came to see me for pre-tratment consultation, to explain the procedure. The FIRST TIME I saw MY DOCTOR GARAVELAS was on the surgery table, moments before anesthesia kicked in! 8. Nobody explain to me what is the actual procedure and that it is completely different from the one I had in Crete. Nobody told me that I would have 3 scars with stitches on my stomach! The doctor failed to see that I had tummy tuck and my belly button is fake (cosmetic) and tried to go through it, through all hard scar tissue underneath it. Nobody asked me if and where I want those scars to be. If Dr. Garavelas behaved professionally - he would take time and explain the procedure to me BEFOREHAND. Since I had ample wait time (over 5 hours) in the hospital BEFORE surgery and he allegedly was free and waiting for surgery room to free up - what excuse can he give me for not having this simple decency? I would have explained to him about my tummy tuck and belly button if he bothered to have a short explanation before surgery. I saw three holes in my stomach with sutures when I woke up and was shocked! I had no idea that someone would cut through my stomach, I thought procedure would be similar to the one I had in Crete clinic... I can go on and tell more about this horrible day, like the anesthesiologist broke the needle in my hand on the first attempt to connect, it resulted in bleeding and very large bruise that still covers my whole hand. All of the above I consider to be very unprofessional and unethical. So, I hope that treatment works but need to inform you that my experience was truly horrific.... (Show more)

I have been seeing the doctor since 2015 after much research and many visits to other gynecologists. I trust him completely, firstly as a fertility scientist and secondly as a human being. He is up-to-date on the latest developments in his field, methodical, emphasizes detail and approaches each case with respect and patience. He personally helped me through the difficult journey of having my daughter! The office space is excellent, state-of-the-art equipment, excellent staff and almost no waiting time.
