Dr Tibor Timar speaks extremely poor French, tells me that pharmacies do not accept digital prescriptions, which is false and above all hangs up on me when I ask him for the contact of a colleague closer to us.

Unfortunately online prescriptions are not accepted for non-Hungarians. In the mean time you probably know.

Not really good advice and way too overpriced. However, the doctor spoke very good German. My illness wasn't properly diagnosed so I had to go back to another doctor the next day.

Two doctors, two diagnoses. Not always the second one is correct.

Professional and good communicator.

Unfortunately, I can only strongly advise against using the services of Expat Docs. We presented with relatively simple problems but were disappointed by the quality of the treatment. Also moderately friendly and not very empathetic towards our children. However, what is an absolute disgrace is to charge 110,000 (!) HUF (i.e. €270) for a treatment lasting around 20 minutes. Absolutely disgraceful. I strongly advise you to seek help elsewhere. Unfortunately I can only warn against using the services of the expat doc. Our reseans for the consultation were relatively trivial, but we were disappointed with the quality of care provided. Not to mention the less than friendly and un-empathetic tone used with our children. The fee charged, 110,000 HUF for a 20 minute consultation is of course exorbitant. Strongly recommend you look elsewhere if you need medical attention.... (Show more)

That is not quite how it was. Two separate patients, extra services (bandage of foot and removal of ear wax included.) at least 20 minutes each. The atmosphere was most friendly throughout. You said you would come back if needed.

Response from the owner2 years ago

Very open and helpful English-speaking doctor. I have been his patient since 1993!

20,000 HUF per visit. Very old medical equipment. Run down.
